Outstandingly good throughout Jay. Well done.

So many people seem to get a good image in respect of composition and posing and then lash it up completely with the lighting and lack of atmosphere. These are all really nice and an example of what can be done.

Some really nice atmospheric images here. I wish my version of Vue wasn't so hobbled.

Thank you, it's much appreciated. What version of Vue are you using?

I've got Vue10 Frontier and Vue11 pioneer. Plus earlier versions going back to Vue8.

I've downloaded the odd freebie object but that's about it as I don't like the idea of buying the modules just to get functionality that's freely available in Daz Studio, like unlimited render size and object import export. Plus all the downloaded content is locked to your version and as such I cant use other peoples freebies.
The only reason I'm throwing money at Daz now is because I got Daz Studio for free and un-hobbled and my interest was held with the weekly freebies. Bearing in mind that I would never have forked out the initial purchase price for DS, as it is I've spent $100's on content that otherwise I would never have bothered with.
It's just, I get the feeling of working with your hands tied when using the 'cheap versions' of Vue.

Yeah I know what you mean about the costs. Luckily Daz is free now but I dread to think how much I've spent on content this year!

I very rarely buy object content from Vue or Cornucopia these days but you can though on lots of their products by the non locked licence version so you could use it also in Daz

I use Vue 11 complete which pretty much covers my bases. Definitely recommend having the Eco Painter and the bolt on for atmospheres

Here was my very first use of Daz which was imported into Vue and rendered . Really tempted to redo this again but with rendering the Daz elements with some nice Uberlighting and then coming against the backplate

Here's my latest done in Vue but again rendered the Daz stuff in Daz with Uberlighting and a direction light for the Sun. Light beams and comp were done in Hitfilm 2 and PS elements. Critiques are most welcome!

I envisioned large Terraforming companies going to far away planets and use massive machinery to make the atmosphere breathable.

    Thanks for looking

After some very helpful advice from JGStyle (thanks again), I decided to redo my Elfen Path image. Beginning to see how PS works now.

    Please feel free to critique

Final part of my Terraforming set. Years after work began the team finish their task. Used Uberlighing and a Directional light for the sun and then put the render and Vue background together in Photoshop.

Thanks for looking and feel free to critique.

Decided that I needed to expand on my knowledge of the Rocky Mountain fractal in Vue. Then got creative with Daz using Uberlighing and a Directional light for the sun. Forgot I bought that awesome eagle last year! All composited in Photoshop Elements.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice renders. thanks for sharing. I'm trying to make some landscape renders in Daz Studio too. I didn't know that people can render scenes like these in Studio. wow

Thanks for looking and commenting. Much appreciated. Sadly only the figure and the eagle were done in Daz. Everything else is Vue and Photoshop

    Thanks again

    Nice work, AngryChair!
I agree some of the best landscapes come from elsewhere. It would be nice to see a few more in Daz-eroo.

These are looking quite epic. They do a great job of drawing you in and making you wonder about the story behind the image and what's going on in those worlds.

Sorry but I didn't get email notifications that you all replied. Thank you for taking a look. I agree I'd like to use more Daz content in my pics, I think still at this moment I'm more familiar with how Vue works over Daz, but as my knowledge improves I plan on using more Daz for sure

Thank you again for your kind words.

    Cheers, Jay

All Daz this time ad no Vue!

Decided to sit down and figure out how to use the EZ Volume cam but flag its use with the intensity of the ADL.

Used Uber Surface lighting on the flames an Uber environment fighting for the scene. About 9 render hours later and got this!

    Thanks for looking

What delightful lighting! It showcases the victim nicely and the intensity of the villian. Well worth the nine hours. :) Glad that man has a sword, he's going to need it. Would be nice if he also had a magnum .357 too...

OK I watched the new Hobbit!

Figure posed, lit with Uberlighting, AofA Advanced Distant Light and also used a little Volume Camera in Daz. Background is Vue 11 Complete.

    Put together in PS Elements.

It was probably the biggest sword in my directory! He was going to need it! Thank you for the comments. Really enjoying the Age of Armour Advanced lights and EZ volume can

    Thanks again ☺

Had to do something for May The 4th Be With You day!

Used the Uberlighting Tube for the saber so that it cast a blue glow on the figure, and a tiny bit of AofA Volume Cam

One Uberlight for the scene and Advanced Distant light for the sun. Had to use the glowing eyes pack as well!

Saber glow done in post in Hitfilm 2 a long with the Vue backplate

    Thanks for looking!

Followed a great Hitfilm tutorial which showed how to create the flaming sun, which then got me inspired to add the shuttlestar model, throw in some advanced ambient, distant lights and the AofA volume can to capture the rays. Also used Jaderail's great free Rule of Thirds cam to help frame it. Then composited in Hitfilm. Thanks for looking!
