Viewport screen is blank

in New Users

I suspect this has something to do with selecting a wrong tab, but I have tried every drop down, close re-open, default buttons etc and forums too. As the screen shot shows, the main viewport displays nothing. I can import things and select them, but nothing shows in the center pane. Just pure gray. Can you tell from the attached screen shot what I screwed up? Thank you!

    It looks as though you have closed the pane "Viewport", you can go to the top of page and right click, add pane, "Viewport".  At the top where your screen should have the viewport, otherwise you can go to "workspace" and select a default workspace to get the viewport back although it will change any panes that you have made if you select a default workspace.

    That was it! I knew it was going to be something simple. I had to do a lot of messing with windows and panes to get it right again - which was very educational! Thanks CGHipster
