    Then, I suggest the use of geometry shells. 

    The glasses in Japanese Style Dining Sets - Lotus by ZKuro (free item today) are very thin. I used a geometry shell (not visible) in the left glass, ofsett = 0.6 cm and X scale and Z scale 105 %. The right glass don't have a shell.

    The resizing of X and Z avoids the shell wall go inside the glass.

    I attached the .duf scene for anyone who has installed these glasses.

    I'd like to ask, can underwater bubbles be created in Fluidos?

    Also, are there any requirements my computer must have in order to use Fluidos?  Does it require dForce?  And if i installed DAZ Studio 4.10, should dForce be accessible on my computer without installing any drivers?

    Reason i ask is because i don't want to install any drivers that could fry my motherboard.  I don't know what fried my motherboard in May 2017, as i may have tried to install a BIOS update.

    The fluids diffuse particles system automatically creates spray, foam and bubbles.

    dForce isn't a requirement. OpenCL must be installed. But the graphic card drivers install OpenCL by default. You could check if it is already installed: http://web.engr.oregonstate.edu/~mjb/cs475/DoIHaveOpenCL.pdf
    dForce itself requires OpenCL too.

    You can't kill a PC with just a driver. A BIOS update is another story, but a simple driver won't damage your PC.
    So you can install the latest GPU card drivers to get the latest OpenCL library, that's the only requirement for the plugin.

    Which is why, in this day and age, I say "no" to such updates whenever prompted. The last thing I need is to have no computer access for weeks, or months.  That would be horrible.

    Also, how do I block the BIOS updates on my computer?

    There's no need, BIOS can be upadated only by the user, only using a specific file containing the BIOS update and only if the user himself starts the operation!  laugh

    It explains the use of Daz Studio Geometric Shells for that purpose.

    The fluid masses are additive except in overlapping regions.

    • Solved the OpenCL incompatibility issue for most graphics cards.
    • The presets accept initial fluid masses
    • Any geometric node can be a source (or a sink)
    • The OpenCL simulations are around 30 % faster.

    The Fluidos Domain settings were:

    Cell size: 0.1
    Size X: 10.0
    Size Y: 10.0
    Size Z: 10.0
    Subdivision level: 2
    Marker Particles scale: 5 (this one if to get larger drops).

    The remaining Domain properties were left unchanged.

    The can was inside the Domain.

    The Fluidos Source/Sink was parented to the Drink Can node.

    This were the settings of the Source:

    After running simulation, the can was resized a bit to get a better adjust of drops for rendering:

    The rendered frame was the number 2.

  • Hello. I recently gotten the fluidos plugin with the companion for Daz and I have been having trouble getting the fluid animation to work while a figure is in the domain. Without anything in the domain except for the Fluidos source/sink, it works fine. However, when I add a figure to the domain so that the fluids interact with the figure, it wouldn't render no matter what. After a few tries, i used the analyer from the companion tool and it gives me the "There are no fluid mass nor Source parented to Fluidos Domain. Without a fluid mass or a source inside Domain space, the simulation will be void." multiple times. This never occures when the figure is out of the domain. How would I solve this error?

  • You have only one source/sink - are you sure it's a source? If so, does it work if you parent it to the Domain (at the moment you have it parented to the figure)?

    Sorry for the late reply but yes I made sure it was a source. I have also tried it without it being parented in the figure and it just being parented by the domain but the error still happens. (the picture shows that the fluidos source/sink has the source button on while its also parented by the domain)(

    Yes, I can reproduce that (and then I have to lean on the Esc keey for a bit to stop the dialogue from reopening). I've merged this with the main Fluidos thread, hopefully the author may have some suggestions (the first post from the separate thread is https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4318311/#Comment_4318311 ).

    Did you used the low resolution in Companion for creating scene?, if so,the cell size is 5.0 in this scene. If you let the source in its default position, then is only partially inside the Domain's space. And, as the default size of the source is 10 X 10 X 10, the plugin cannot detect the source.

    The solution is easy. You can move the source (e. g.,set 5 or more in its Y translate property)  or  you can decrease the Domain's cell size (to 2.5 or less).

    Let me know if there is more problems.

    I don't think the source is the problem. As you can see with the first picture, when it is only the source in the domain, then the fluid animation works. However it won't interact with the figure since the figure isn't in the domain with it. When I repeat the same thing with the only difference being that the figure is parented in the domain with the source, I now get the no source error as you can see in the second picture. I know how to make the source fit in the domain and get it to work by itself but I can't get it to work when another figure is involved.

    It works for me. The scene is OK (although it should be better using a smaller cell size)

    Try this: After running the simulation, disable and enable again the mesher.

    If it doesn't work, please upload the last Fluidos' log file (it's in the logs folder inside the Baked files folder).

    weird, it works now. not sure why i was having so much trouble before. Thank you guys for you help! Just one quick question: does the source won't work if its in a tunnel that is too small for the source?
