How to change the hair color in the Hair Set for G8m?
I just bought deepsea's Hair Set for Genesis 8 males. It's for adding facial and body hair to the models. The examples provided on the sales page show the beards and mustaches in various hair colors, however, inside Daz Studio, there are zero options available for changing the hair color. Also, as usual, there's zero effort put forth by the artist and/or Daz to explain the process, even in the most minimal manner. I was hoping I could get a little help here on the board. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions or help you can provide.

The Readme indicates there is a Materials folder at this path: /People/Genesis 8 Male/Hair/Hair Set/Materials/Hair Set Hair Mat 01.duf
Do you have this folder?
Looking at the promos, I am not seeing different colors, but different lightening and darkening of the same color as i see it. Can you check the materials on the hair in surfaces and see if the Diffuse shows a grayscale with a color tint or a colored texture?
First, thanks mucho for the response! It's much appreciated. :)
Second, can we please back it up a bit? Let's ingore the folder question for a sec, and instead can I ask you where the heck you found this Readme file? It wasn't in my confirmation email. It wasn't on the product ad page. I went so far as to manually download the set, and then I searched searched that folder for a readme (no), a text file (no), and a pdf (again, no). I'm prolly like that customer asking where the gum is as I stand right in front of the rack, but yeah....
I've NEVER seen a readme once, so I'd love to know where these guys are! Thanks again! :)
This is an edit as I had put erroneous information in here. For one, the readmes listed on the product pages are, in fact, not through Daz' doing, but by way of a plug-in by Ati that I use that gives some great info. I'll try to find a link to that if no one has posted before I come back (as I'm on my way to bed).
People can get to readmes from the help menu, or after purchase by clicking the I icon in Install manager or in DS by right-clicking on the product (in Smart Content>Products or in the products list in the Content Library) and selecting More Info...
I apologize if you read before my edit and if I confused you or anyone else.
I'm using that product, and it's working fine for me.
1) Load a G8M figure. Click it on the "Scene" panel (usually on the top right side of the screen) to select the character.
2) To give him hair, double-click on "Hair Set !Hair" that should be available in "Smart Content" under "Hair", now that your G8M figure is selected. Hair should now appear on the figure.
3) To change the shape or colour of the hair, you have to select it first. In the "Scene" panel, expand the G8M figure by clicking on the little triangle. There you can find the "Hair Set Hair" you just loaded; select it by clicking.
4) Now that "Hair Set Hair" is selected, colours and shapes should be available in "Smart Content". Colours under "Materials", haircuts under "shaping". Apply by double-clicking.
Hope this was helpful. DAZ Studio is not exactly an intuitive program, but I hope you'll still have a lot of fun with it!
This has been a tremendous help. Thank you, @Cris Palomino! :)
@Hylas Thanks for your response. It wasn't working as you mentioned, so I just tried uninstalling then reinstalling the set, then restarted my computer. Now it works as you say. Thanks again! :)
