4.6 Beta Version Screwed Me
3 days ago I downloaded and installed the beta version of 4.6 and immediately ran into a problem, when I try to pose a figure or move it or for that matter just try to pan or zoom then the figure turns into a collection of grey blocks (see attached pics) if I touch any adjustment sliders or the scroll wheel on my mouse.
I uninstalled the beta version and went back to the standard release but the problem persisted in that version as well. This is making it impossible for me to use DAZ at all. I submitted a ticket in the help center immediately but 3 days later still no response. I have checked all my video drivers and they are all up to date. Running the latest version of DS 4.6 on Windows 7 64bit. Any suggestions at this point would be hugely appreciated.

In DAZ Studio go to the menu bar and choose Window>Panes (Tabs)>Tool Settings. In the pane go to During Manipulation section and click on DrawStyle pop-up menu and choose Use Current (Off). Voilá!
MBusch, you're a lifesaver. Thank you so much.
Now why couldn't someone from DAZ support tell me that three days ago and saved me all that aggravation.
Because the office is closed on the weekends. If you submit a ticket on Friday you probably won't get a response until the next Monday. I believe right now they have a 1 business day turn around.
*Edit* I am glad that you were able to get help here in the forum. The real question now is why was that preference changed when you installed the beta? You may want to submit that as a bug if you get a chance.

I got some more info on why this happened. The box setting is the default setting for DAZ Studio, it allows lower end machines to keep up. Since the beta and the release version don't share settings the beta's settings are all the default DAZ Studio settings.

You beat me as I would write this, but anyway, that does not explain why the standard release version get the same setting after nedkelly goes back to it from the beta version, once they not share settings. This can be a bug.
@DAz_jared, I keep forgetting that you guys are living in the past, it's Tuesday already here in Australia. MBusch raises a good point, if they don't share settings why did installing the beta version alter the settings in the standard release.
