Sorry dude but there is nothing called Genesis 2 anywhere.

I remember that I had to install the Genesis Starter Essentials as when I first installed Daz 4.6, it wasn't included.

    Where would I get that?

oh thanks for that chohole! :)

I have managed to install and now see Genesis 2 Male and Female in my Content Library on the right. I was expecting Gen 2 to be on the left along with the stand alone Gen 1 under "actors, wardrobe, props."

So Genesis 2 is two brand new figures rather than just one Genesis which you can pump anything into?

Now that I have Genesis 2, what do I need have full flexability with anatomy and the face shapes. I gotta buy them?

Can I now now pump Genesis 2 in Genesis one? to stay up to date do I now have to build my character on previous pages again to utilize the latest props etc?

    Excellent artwork sir.

Looking forward to seeing more. I'm a big comic fan and have wondered about comics made in 3D apps. I appreciate that some 'purists' will always look down on comics made this way in a similar way traditional Matte Painters who slaved away on glass may view today's Matte artists who use elements copied and blended into Photoshop.

But I defy anyone who sees your art work and claims it to be 'easy' or 'cheating'.

Again, looking forward to seeing more.

Yes you must purchase the full body and face morph.
For skin texture, I think you could use Genesis 2 with Genesis 1 or Victoria 4 UV map, but not with the morph. For Genesis 2 into Genesis 1, I don't think you could do that, since Genesis 2 have more features that Genesis 1 not provide.

    Thanks!

Well when given the chance, I still prefer to paint and draw by hand and I still do convention sketches. but if you are a 21st century illustrator, you ignore technology at your pearl I think. Daz is too good a tool to ignore for doing something you want to look cinematic.

See that's a little frustrating as youw ant to be using the latest model as they have more features. But if you spend ages on getting figure just right but then model then become outdated, tis a little frustrating and now I gotta spend more. But I guess my Gatekeeper figure will still look good for while yet.

That all looks pretty special stuff there mate. Well done.

I'm glad I only really do technical 3D as, seeing your work, I'd want to give up otherwise. :-)

Thanks man! I am the opposite. I hate technical stuff and I often have to draw Transformers. :)

I really like the style of your art. If I saw this at my local comic shop or bookstore and knew nothing about the book, the artwork alone on the page would have me picking up this book, be it in graphic novel or a one off comicbook format. The professionalism and the artistic talent that's going into this is very evident.

Genesis 2 can only use Genesis 1 textures out of the Box. For V4 and other Generation 4 figures, you'd need the appropriate products like these to get the UVs:

You can also purchase a Genesis 2 clone to fit Genesis 2 clothes to Genesis 1 from Sickleyield:

Thanks Borgy, i will look into all that. The cloaks for Genesis 2 is better than the one I have (which is for M4) but I spent ages getting her looking just right with Genesis one.

I only get to work in Daz all too often so i can forget how I do things. How can I group an object with another again? I don't want to parent say a belt and that goes all weird but can i just group the best to the trousers or the Genesis 1 figure. The belt coming from teh larger best to her hip is all that's not fixed to her and I am thinking of experiemnting with animation for the rough animatic I posted on page one.

The Gatekeeper's regeneration chamber. Time travel is none too kind on the human body. Even one as engineered as she still requires some serious healing. Here she is at peace. Here she dreams.
This is an image I have had in my head for over 18 years. Now that I have the cinematic tools it can finally be realized.

All are top drawer images. I do look at these with a tinge of envy though. Nice work.

here is another one. This one I am particularly proud of as it's 95% of what I had in my head. Usually I only get about 65% at best.

Been doing some scene revisions with more Daz and less Bryce.

This is much more in lines with the story and 'state' of things.

Thanks guys. There's still a lot I need to lear about Daz yet but I am getting there.

  • That is a great image. The monitors with the same image as the image is boggling my mind. Excellent stuff!

Thank you. Glad folks spot these things. Well I figure the media in few years will be even more "moment my moment" if you get my meaning.

Thanks dude! I need to get to grips with your environment as I have a whole desert/scorched earh scene I have yet to do. The alien landscape youhave there looks great.

See I am wondering now if I should go back and rerender everthing again this time in Iray, especially for facial closeups.

Can I actually do that? Can I use existing scenes and rerender then in Iray or do I need to set up allnew cameras and lights from scratch?

Actually ,is there anybody out there who would willing to be my Daz problem solver and would like to know more about Phototoshop (20years)? Trade skills for skill kinda deal? as there so many other littly thing I need to figure out how to drap a cape over armor.

Aside from book covers, pinups and illustration services for Mattel, also I design action figures and Statues for Mezco and Pop Culture Shock. I also design packaging art for StarAce toys who make all the very expensive Movie figures like Harry Potter and such.

Basically I need someone I can skype or email with problems they may find easy to solve but hard for me and i will either help you in any of my skill sets or give you some expensive figures.

I managed to get all 32 pages done in time for San Diego Comic Con 2017 and went down very well with a few parties interested as well as a connection at Netflix.
I did get a few printed but will be doing an updated print run with updated lettering and a few pages of concepts. In a few week I will be posting deatils on how folks can get it.

    Here's the cover:
