Really great frogs.  Congrats on the computer.  Thats always fun, at least once they are all put together lol.

Thank you Linwelly, Worlds_Edge and Ice. I thought I got a system that was similar to my last rig that crapped out after 2 years and 3 months. But in reality it is so much better, so responsive and enough CPU power to render Iray in the viewport quite well. Programs load very fast, Photoshop works better even though I have the extact same GPU as the last rig. It was almost brand new as was the PSU and Scan was kind enough to pick up the new parts I bought and include them in the new build. I am liking Win 10 more and more now. I got Pro so I don't have an issue with Updates and rendering over night. I have a spare slot for a 1070 8 GB GPU which I am working hard to get asap. I have two more RAM slots with the MB allowing 64 GB it total. Yes it was twice the price of the last PC but so worth it. Now to work toward a Workstation.

    Congrats on the new PC!

I've been telling myself that I'll upgrade my beloved coffee grinder for at least two years (probably longer) now, but stuff keeps popping up. Like, a new house. Oops. So far, I did increase RAM and replaced my vid card when the old one blew up. (Well, mine threathened to blow up and then my SO's actually blew up. I got the new one anyway, he had my old one and it never as much as coughed since..).

Admission of guilt:  I had a brief heart palpitation when I saw that Fern Lake was free, too.  Then...reality set in.

Ah well, it's still a great render, Pete.  Nicely done!

That poison frog had me smiling, looking at that bottle

The horse render is just amazing, I take it thats the HW horse? I don't hink I could get the local horse to look that nice

  • SzarkSzark Posts: 10,634

dHandle sorry and if I had known using that word would have this effect I would have still used it. :P Thank you

Linwelly Thanks. Yes HW Horse. I had a play with Mil Horse last night and to be honest the body and Pro Textures come up ok in Iray, The tail is a bit off though. I don't have DH2, couldn't afford it.
