carrara 8.5 Pro on win server

so, Im getting this server and bashing into use as a workstation. but its built for windows server. its 64. can carrara 8.5 pro run on win server 2008 or server 64 etc? in general, what is needed to get carrara to run on a window server OS? I see that its not officially supported, but this may be an oversight and simply not listed because most people arent kit-bashing a workstation out of off lease servers. thank you.
