8.5 Pro App Crash since new SN used

Ack..... I don't know if anyone is having the bog standard message "Carrara has stopped working....,blah blah blah...needs to close" Didn't have this in Beta and didn't even have it with the expired SN I used with the rolled back date. Now am having the message below. Saves take ages, even though I do it every few minutes. This crash caught me before I saved. Grrrrrrrrr. My file is under 300mb.

64bit windows 7

Will look at preferences...in case scratch discs reset with new SN??? Help! Any advice?

ETA: Found this old old post: http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=2451678 scroll down to 31 July 2010 Elektra post. Gosh a lot of you were around then! Is it the same thing? Should I download the 32bit version instead?
