Vertex Modeler Flash?

Is this a problem for anyone else? It's most definitely not affecting the performance of Carrara, but I find it distracting...

When in the vertex modeler and I click in the editing window off of any objects, everything outside the editing window (that is, every other piece of UI in the window) flashes white momentarily. Nothing changes, nothing becomes unsprung or unset, it just goes flash! blank white and right back.

I'm on Carrara 8.5 Pro, Mac OS 10.8.x, blah blah blah.

EDIT: And just like that, it stops. I return to Carrara from posting this, and it's not flashing any more. I hate intermittent errors...

EDIT #2: It started again, but not when I created a new file. Will try to repeat.
