Is there a trial version of Carrara 8.5?

I know there's a trial version of Carrara 8 available on CNet's download.com, but I wasn't sure if it was just for 8 and not the new 8.5. I really would like to have a chance to preview it with some of the Genesis figures and such before just purchasing it outright only to find it's not suited to what I need.

    I asked about this in the 8.5 release thread and got no response.

    In the past I would have bought the program and then gotten a refund if it turned out to be unsatisfactory, but this isn't a viable option anymore because PC memberships are no longer refundable.

    Yeah I think you have to buy it what is weird though when coming to putting in the serial number there was a trial button there but since I bought Carrara 8.5 Pro had no need too..

    As far as I know there was never a trial version here, would have been the people who first owned and made Carrara before Daz bought it out might have..

    There is a trial version available at download.com but it's the previous release.
