Bot Genesis and Poser

I have Poser Pro 2014 but have so far not tried any of the Genesis items from Daz.
I would like to use the Bot Genesis.
Can I just download the files and load them into Poser as with ordinary files, or are there any special extras - figures, files, etc I need to make it work with V4?

The set won't line up with V4, it is made to fit and conform to Genesis. There is a product from the same artist for V4 though http://www.daz3d.com/bot-armor
So which genesis figure do I need to get? V5? V6?
Free Genesis figure should be enough, I think. V5 is a morph for Genesis (1). V6 is a morph for Genesis 2 Female (a newer figure).
This is where I probably seem a bit dim, but I have searched for the free figure and haven't found it ...
It comes with DS, in the genesis starter essentials. I believe these also come with the DSON importer as well
Just put the free DSON Importer in you cart and check out - you don't have to install Dazstudio, just the Genesis Starter Essentials and the DSON importer

Thank you both very much,
Shaun
Followed instructions and loaded the various items and as far as I can tell everything is where it should be.
But on choosing the character (Genesis female) an error message came up and though the figure was listed as an actor, nothing appeared.
On checking the console it seems a lot of files couldn't be found. The following extract is trypiacl of a very long report about UV definitions etc.
(PoserPro 2014 on Snow Leopard, by the way).

etc
Did you install both files for Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials, the PoserCF has only the library files and not the textures or geometry. The same applies for the Genesis Starter Essentials.
used the DSON Poser installer which says it included and loaded everything,
I've sent you these screenshots by PM.
As I said in reply to your PM, the # and after is a reference to a section of the file. Where is the \data folder located? If that location listed in the library pane in Poser (as an external runtime, regardless of whether or not it has any actual library files in it)?
/data is in My Daz3d Library, which I have managed to add as an external runtime, solving my problem, thank you.
So far, so good - the genesis 2 female now loads, but not all the genesis bot loads - in particular the machine complains there's a .pmd file for the Torso that's missing. There are pmd files in the list, but not this one is definitely neither on the computer nor in the runtime.
Is Bot Genesis installed to the same folder as Genesis? I think the pmd file would be written by the importer, as part of preparing the content for import, so my first suspicion would be it's trying to write to a folder to which it doesn't have write access.
They're both in My Daz3D Library. Some of the Bot items have .pmd files attached, but not all of them.
I'm sorry, I'm getting confused - is this the Genesis or the V4 Bot add-on? I'd assumed the Genesis one, since you were loading Genesis, but it appears not.
The Genesis Bot; I got that and the Dson stuff.
Here's a shot of some of the pmds listed; poser calls for one for the Torso and it's not there.
-whoops-
OK, so those are DS-generated PMD files. I seem to recall that some parts of the Genesis Bot had an issue with normals - though I'm not sure if it's been fixed - but I wonder if that could be upsetting the generation of the pmd file? I think you need to open a support ticket unless anyone else has an idea.
I'm assuming those aren't binary morph style PMDs, but rather something Mac related?
(just checking, I'm on Windows and don't have those after using the bot in Poser earlier today).
As I recall, the DSON importer generates Poser files and Poser loads those - which is why it needs to have a writeable directory in order to work.
Will open support ticket.
Thank you.
