I have seen a reference to using something in Carrara to convert a text object to a vertex object, and have tried for hours to find it in the application. I give up.

Anyone care to give me a hint on how this is accomplished?

I am trying to create a logo and I need to be able to alter certain faces of specific letters.

Thanks for any help you pros can give.

Select the text, got to the Wrench Wroom (Modeling room - where you typed the text) - then go to the edit menu and choose "Convert to other modeler"

    That should do it.

You shouldn't even need to do that. Just highlight the text in the instances palette and then go to Edit--> Convert To Other Modeler...

A window will open asking what modeler yo want to convert to. Choose vertex. To see the mesh, select the text in the Instances and click the wrench icon.
