Tough one!  I did some searches on Google images for "daz mfd textures" or poser, and came up empty.  A lot of strpless though.  I wonder if you can get a similar "strapless" short dress texture, and then use mcjTailorsChalk to create a template to modify the opacity map, so that you can add (uncover) some straps?  

Thanks for looking I use DS 3, it looks like the mcjtailors chalk script is for DS 4.5 and higher. The threads mentioned a version for DS 3, but I couldn;t nfind it.

once you get past the (daunting) interface 

File>Import>[file type]

if you need to zoom in on what you loaded press "." on the keypad

remove everything from your scene, select using the Right Mouse Button and press the Delete remove any cameras and lights as well

then

FIie>Export>Wavefront (.OBJ) 

The interfce takes some getting used to and to actually get comfortable with it you will need to sit through a tutorial or two

 

I gave it my best shot. It's nowhere near perfect, but at least I think it's presentable!

If you have the Hivewire dog, they have free long and short LAMH presets over on their site.

Hi all, I'm new to Daz but have been assembling props etc for a project I want to start.

One of the characters has hair made up of long very fine white feathers. These are not typical bird feathers. The "quil" is extremely long and not hard, more like string, same diameter. Off the quil would be very fine feather material more like hair.

The length would be to the base of the spine. See attached pic only longer.

On the forhead, top of head the feathers become stiffer to form a crown, similar to a mohawk, that raises and lowers to express emotion such as surprise.

This would be for female genesis 8 or possibly 3.

is something similar available or can someone make something like this. I don't mind buying.

Thanks. Only one (the Robinwood) of the 3 links there--all Celtic harps--is still good and I have that one.

I have been considering this one https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/siren-song/109346/ as an alternative, as it's the right size and shape, comes with a beautiful stool, and is not too expensive. But there's things I just don't like about it--the construction and way it's strung just aren't right, has about half the strings it should have, it's metal (I should be able to use Iray wood shaders though), and then there's the (V4) poses. My choir director owns & plays a Celtic harp, so I am familiar with the body and hand positions, and these are Just. So. Wrong. Not to mention several poses are rather suggestive and would be even if the promo harpist wasn't wearing extra-skimpy skimpwear. LOL (Actually my choir director got a kick out of my description of those poses--and she is willing to sit for some reference pictures I can use to do my own harpist poses!) But if there's a decent free pedal harp model out there, I'd prefer to have that.

There is this one http://www.cadnav.com/3d-models/model-14175.html that might fit the bill. You will have to convert the .3ds format to obj to load it into DAZ. If you are on Poser then you canjust import. To convert to obj format there are lots of ways but I use PoseRay https://sites.google.com/view/poseray to do the job.

Yes, thank you. I think I have seen it before but passed because I had no idea if, or how, the format could be converted. Might have to read the manual a few times first. My program learning curve is--not the greatest.
