Hello,

I'm looking for the holy grail. Where is CadStyle, what is CadStyle and is there a plugin that is required. I have been wanting to use Cad 3d models in Carrara for some time now. I have had some success but it is really difficult, There seems to be no way to have a model be imported without having all the planes disconnected.

    Cadstyle was a plugin many versions ago, but is now integrated into Carrara Pro.

    I have imported many cad models into Carrara, as well as other software, and it is often the quality of the model that is the problem, not Carrara or the importing software.

    An object can be exported as a solid (B-rep), or trimmed surfaces. The format is also an issue. IGS can be more problematic than STP, but you can get a good IGS model and a bad STP model, so its not completely true.
