Hi everyone,
It's been about two years since I last messed with DAZ or Bryce, and I've finally found my muse again. :-)I'm working on making models for the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series to get back in the swing of things and thought I'd offer one up :) Here's Anita, the title character.
She's pretty blank right now background wise, but I'm working on it :)

Welcome back! Good start getting back in the groove!
I like the expression on her face, can't wait to see what you do with her
Thanks!
I'm trying a few different things. I might end up doing a series from multiple angles, since the scene keeps getting more detailed the more I think about it .
Here is the second part of the image. It's supposed to be the vampire Anita is aiming at and his victim, but I haven't gotten him right yet. Working with guys is always so much harder for me so I usually avoid it. Still trying to puzzle out the rest of the scene.
Wow, it's been a full year since I've done anything, but I have a new computer now (Yay!) that can actually run DAZ without taking a million years or crashing, so I have new stuff!
This one is another character from the Anita Blake series. Babiana is a shapeshifter who rules the White Tiger Clan in Las Vegas. I'm still working out her lighting (lights are my nemesis) and getting the tiger's eyes back to blue after applying LAMH as well as a few more tweaks.
Here's Spacey.
Has anyone else had a problem with DAZ stripping the background out of the scene when you render? The background jpeg will appear in the render, but when I save to .png it's always gone.
And another female character.
I have a question... Is it better to render in DAZ or Bryce? There are some things I'd like to do, like make a sky and background for temple guard, but will I have to export everything to Bryce to do it, or can I make the sky and background and then put them back in DAZ for rendering? I've had to uninstall Bryce 7 Pro twice over the past week, once because it kept crashing as soon as it started and again because it kept crashing as soon as I loaded a scene I'd spent days working on, so I'm leery of making the commitment.
Hello.
This one was rendered in Bryce. Experimenting with the fill and distant lights for realism and wanted to see how reflections worked. Model is Vicky 4.2 with Venus skin. Bed and curtains were 3DS models. Textures are randoms found on the internet
Another character I'm working on, more for a Halloween/witchy feel. Still figuring out what to do with her.
made some changes. Decided on another dress and put her in a magic circle. Played with lighting a bit to make it more magicky.
First sci-fi image!
Another image. This one was made in DAZ and rendered in Blender.
I'm quickly falling in love with Blender's cycles rendering, and the emission settings. Oh, to have emission in DAZ.

I've never been able to get the results I wanted with the uber area light :( Maybe it's time to dig up some youtube tutorials.
