Surface Selection and Geometry

Hello all,
Is there a way to only select the geometry of a surface in hexagon? Right now i pain stakingly select polygons that are in the way to hide them to work on the geometry that may be under them. thanks

Your question makes no sense. Polygons ARE the geometry of a surface.
There are various selection modes including painting selections and rectangle selections. There are so many selection options that the function has it's whole own Main Menu entry.
