@rgcincy   Thanks for showing that. It doesn't look any weirder than what happens with dFormers :)  It seems easier to set up.

I'm on the fence about the Mesh Grabber. It looks really good, and I like ManFriday's products. But I've also gotten pretty good at using dFormers with weight maps.

On the other hand, Zev0 had some nice things to say about it in the official thread, and I trust Zev0's opinions.

    It's a tough decision.

For the Mesh Grabber, I found this post explained a lot.

My guess is because she is a woman and he is a man. If I go out to eat with my GF, she's all "I can't wear that, and I have to have nice shoes on, and what will they think about this..." whilst I'm "I'm wearing clothes, we have money, let's go!"

I really like Mesh Grabber, I will be the first to admit that I have very limited experience with dFormers and weight maps but I have been able to sucessfully use them, Mesh Grabber made it so much easier.  In the post I made in the Commercial Products thread I had just started trying to use a dFormer to get the pants where I wanted them and was having some trouble, with Mesh Grabber I was able to do it in minutes and with not even opening the directions.

Really enjoy all the Christmas/Holiday themed images!

@daventaki   Good to know about your experiences. I did get it but no time to try it yet.

Picked up some Vyktorhia and TwitzedMetal characters for a big discount (not here) and I'll say again, if you don't have Content Package Assist, you should. It does all the work for you in installing files from other sites. I did a tutorial on it, should be in the tutorials listed on my first page of this thread.  I also picked up Panawo props.

What has been your favorite product that you have picked up recently- whether you've tried it or not?  I picked up Christianne for Genevieve 7 yesterday as one of the 2.99 ones, in the promos you can see the nice rippling thigh muscles. Her build seemed not-run-of-the-mill and I can always replace those eyebrows. She's not one of my favorites, but thought I'd point out her bodybuild.

I don't have a lot to choose from with these promotions as I already have most of what I'd want.

And thank you to all the PAs who continue to be so generous with the freebies!

Reine with hair from Crocodile Liu   Everyday 2 from Aeon Soul

Any tips on getting rid of the graininess on the right side of her hair?  This is rendered at high render settings with Boss Pro light set. I tried different lights and different settings, also tried the denoiser and nothing seemed to get rid of them.  Will have to try different poses to see if it still shows up under bright lights.  Hmmm just noticed an issue with the eye balls showing through the bottom lid will have to test this further.

Ok so after testing it seems to be when you use expressions on her that the eye poke through happens.  I had better luck using dials to add expression but you have to watch how far you dial.  Or resizing the eye balls will fix it also.  Softened the back Right rim light to remove some of the graininess on the right side of the hair.  Used a hair preset which I didnt realize was there in my earlier image and used the purple makeup for this.

Dont really care for her eyelashes. To me they stick nearly straight out.  Overall though I really like her, I don't have many girls that have an Asian look.

A few using Tennessee. I used a Yosemite HDRI with a distant light for the sun. I did some kit bashing for the Native American stuff and used Wachiwi hair and hid the head band, which I couldn't get to fit, with another one that did. That is the DAZ Horse.

Nothing is as it comes :) I invariably mess around with all the settings as I set up a scene :)

@Fishtales, I found your renders fascinating and illustrative of the problems of the costuming for historical Native Americans. Tennessee has very dark skin and I had yet to test render him so you inspired me to do so. I also had https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hc-summer-casual-outfits-for-genesis-8-males that I had not tried yet, so it turned into a modern image, of a man who reminds me of a verteran, in DC, at the monuments, sitting, thinking of his comrades, lost in the wars.

I'm generally a scrooge but I really splurged recently (*sigh*), so it's hard to pick a favourite... but I'm very happy with my dramatically expanded Genesis 3 character library, which includes Mei Lin 7, Ophelia 7, Olympia 7, Rune 7, Xiuying, Isa, Drako, and Sasori. On the Genesis 8 front I got Tyrone, Twylite, Sakura, Riza, Harrison, and Syph. Also, Terra Dome 3 and Ultimate Freckles. In my defense, I had very few characters up to now, and much of the new stuff I got for 2.99 a piece.

I sure have enough new toys for a while! (or so I have to keep telling myself while browsing yet another round of ridiculous markdowns!)

My poor attempt at an interpretation:

    • 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
    • not a creature was stirring, not even the louse.
    • Who laid around in his ratty old clothes
    • Not getting ready while he dozed.
    • Meanwhile his wife was dressed to the nines
    • Sporting a dress with blue that did shine
    • A pretty black sweater completed the top
    • Showing the care she took whenever she shopped.
    • She was ready for guests when she suddenly observed
    • That he was still sleeping which threw her a curve
    • It was time for him to be up and at ‘em
    • What was he thinking? It will be total bedlam!
    • Dozens of children would soon be there
    • Running around up and down stairs
    • He needs to get up so she splashed him with water
    • “Go on, get dressed and wake our daughter”.
    • His eyes sprang open and he jumped to his feet
    • He knew right away, no need to repeat
    • He should have been helping with Christmas décor
    • Not napping the day away flat on the floor.
    • He gave her a hug and promise to improve
    • He was sorry and his remorse to prove
    • He offered to clean up the party mess
    • So she could relax later without any stress.
    • He was true to his word, helping all night
    • The house looked good as he turned off the lights
    • “Merry Christmas, my love, may it bring you good cheer
    •  Guess I should help out more next year?”

Just in case no one has mention Falcon In the Renderosity Store, I thought I would mentio him just to keep the artists who make male characters in business:

And I have a render over there as a promo for Wynter, GypsyAngel's male character  :)   Yep, the warrior!  Go check him out, you'll recognize the style as we putzed around here doing the foreground/background combination. BTW, Daz had a chance at that character and turned him down, while we keep clamoring for male characters. And he is FANTASTIC, very versatile.

On Envato-  Comics Book Art Action, (Photoshop Plugin)   then added Linen Texture in Corel Photo Paint. Just playing, going offline now. :)  VERY easy to use, for those of you who like comics style, or who want to try a Photoshop Plugin for the first time.

With Linen Texture added over it.

Yep, seen him! He's hawt. Has a great "bad boy" vibe going.

Where do I get those dog tags?

If you haven't seen the rotating 360 degree product features for erupiter, they're interesting. It's a featured store.

What has been your favorite product that you have picked up recently- whether you've tried it or not?

Ive been buying things at such an alarming rate - and have had so little time to devote to Dazzing - that I’d be hard pressed to even remember the majority of my acquisitions. However, I took advantage of today’s flash sale to pick up all three Thicket products and both of @Oso3D’s dragon add-ons, because I’m not likely to get a better deal than 70% off those.

So many new toys, so little time… However, I've been wanting the Forsaken Village and Construction Set for a long time and was able to pick it up recently. I expect to have some fun with that one.

Well, I got drawn in to the "how many products do you own" and since it's fairly well known that I own a lot, here's the post with my total. What I want to know is Robert, where are you at?  I know you mentioned you were in the low 20's.

What I didn't say over there, is that I've slowed down on character buying due to the latest trend in eyebrows. I think the early Genesis 8 and even Genesis 3 look better than some of the stiff, lawn mowered brows.  Some brows meet so close in the middle they start heading down the curve of the nose!  Some characters I only buy because they are greatly discounted and I can use the morphs with someone else's materials, or remove the brows (which I haven't done because I don't have time at the moment to tinker. Also, I want to show you out of the box.)  To each their own, I know what I don't like, others probably love and hate the styles that I like. :)  We do need variety.

I have 22,797 products installed through DIMM, of course, this is only part of my content collection as I have products from other stores, some of which no longer exist, as well as freebies installed. I also have a large number that I haven't reinstalled since the apartment fire that happened 7 years ago last week

I have an 8 terabyte drive just for my content and at this time it has 3.55 terabytes of free space left on it

It's a major PITA trying to find anything
