Is there a fix for the Genesis 2 Female Base & V5 face UV’s

VirgoRivalVirgoRival Posts: 47

Edit: Maybe I didn't word my question correctly
The UV's on the Base Female and Victoria 5 for Genesis 2 are jacked.
how do I fix it?

Original - I have altered the Bree Face texture to add an eyeliner tattoo mark on the eyes of the face texture back in my Genesis version of a character of mine
I have since recreated her with Genesis 2 Female and am still using the V5 Textures, but had noticed the eyeliner doesn't sit on her eyes right anymore

I noticed after i download the Templates for Genesis 2 Female to recreate the tattoo On the BaseFemale texture that the Template looks straight horrific

and not smooth like the Victoria 5 Template for Genesis 1
at least around the eyes

So i'm guessing its how the UV's are unfolded is why the tattoo and the texture in general spikes and looks awful is because of this lack of smoothing ?

I wouldn't know how to go about trying to fix this my self
I tried following the guidelines, tweaking the mesh in Hexagon to line up the texture and nothing looks good

I also can't find any Templates for the V6 UV's if it turns out the V6 Texture is better to use in this situation

in the images below are the texture On V5 Bree, the Templet for the V5 Templet for G2F(The Base Female templet looks much the same) and the results of using the V5 UV with the texture I edited

So I'm alil frustrated that I can make her marking look smooth and aligned and attractive because how unrefined the UV is
I tryed editing it to get them to align with the UV, no go
tried to recreate them using the Base Female UV, looks even worse

and I don't like the V6 Belle texture

Where did you buy Victoria 5 for Genesis 2, and can you give a link. V5 is a morph of Genesis, and V6 is a morph of Genesis 2, they are completely different figures.

Please don't post the same question in multiple places ... the website/forum has been down sporadically in various places and people are in different time zones ... it can take awhile to get an answer.

My copy of G2F also has the V5 as well as some other uvmap choices. Bree, which is/was a V5 skin appears to have been adjusted already on the basic G2F ... so it would make a difference as to which Bree texture you actually re-textured as to whether or not it'll work on Genesis 1 OR G2F.

What your seeing is normal, remapping figure B to match figure A is a nightmare job as the UVs never quite line up right, with skin it's harder to see, but when you start to add detail like patterns or 2nd skin clothing that's when the "poor" remap jumps out at you. The Gen 4 UVs for Genesis are a mess, but most have no idea that there is anything wrong, but once you know what your looking for you can spot the issues, two examples are the textures on the limbs meander quite badly, and there is quite a bit of distortion on the back seam.
