I am working on a Sam Spade comic book. I think I am going to use the cat to narrate the show. What do you think?

works for me - said the dog
neat idea - keep on!
He's CUTE!
Well, if you want to do it, do it right. If you want a speaking cat, it should be clear the cat is speaking. It is too far away and too much shadow. Because you said in this thread you have speaking cat, I knew the cat is speaking. Otherwise I would not have realized it. So, most of the viewers who are not told the cat is speaking, will miss that part and think someone else is speaking.
So make it clear the cat is speaking. And yes, this requires pretty accurate lip syncing.
It is a great start! I did not even know the sync'ing worked with cats! Now I'm thinking of having my own "Mr. Ed" show!!! :)
Also, maybe changing the lighting will help bring out the cat's mouth moving?
Thanks for the input.

I think it's better to use a toon creature.
And don't make camera pans or zooms; a few camera switches is a far better effect.
Have a look at what I am working on: http://youtu.be/erlBt5slyqk
It's not finished, maybe never will be. It's more to train myself.
