BLUR EFFECT

I have applied an BLUR effect to my Missile exhaust BUT its not what I want. It BLURS the OBJECT the Particle stuff BUT the edges are SHARP/hard... NOT good
How can I get the edges to be blurred feathered?

No need for to use the craptacular blur post effect. Use the alpha channel in your particle shader. The only issue I've run across is putting an emitter with an alpha channel within a volumetric cloud. You get artifacts that way.
Here's an example from the Smoke emitter contained in your Objects Browser under Simple Particles. Note the alpha channel!
As an aside, since all these topics you've been posting seem to be about the emitter and a particular scene, it seems to me that it makes more sense, avoids confusion and duplicate answers to keep it as one topic- since that's what it is.
