Excellent work. I checked it out and I'm very impressed. I can't wait to see the final film.

So this was rendered completely in Daz?

    Hi Jgstyle,

Thank you for your kind words!

Everything was rendered in Daz Studio. I then imported the scenes into my After Effects to add the vfx. From there, I imported the files into Magix Movie Edit Pro HD to edit them with sound.
The final outcome, as seen on Vimeo, is Mpeg4 - 1280x720 - 25fps, which I feel looks pretty good in full-screen.

    Hope this makes sense.

EXCELLENT! Your work never fails to awe me. Wanders off to rethink much of his work now...

Dean, absolutely stunning! I like the nuances you've put in, the details such as the news banner, the smoke coming out of the various things such as the transport, the vents- really draws the viewer in!

    Very well done.

I have to admit I haven't even thought in terms of animation at all - I find one frame difficult enough to get right. But this clip just shows what can be achieved. Perhaps DAZ should run a high profile Animation competition to encourage a few others of us to dip our toe in this water.

You lost me before the animation even started, with the "in the year 2525" thing. That stupid song is still running through my head.

Then there's the cliche "sector 13". Great animation won't save you from hack writing.

Very high production value, and attention to detail. It's easy to see the work and dedication that went into this. Definitely in the top tier of DAZ inspired projects. It's a great trailer hinting at the complex and intricate story. I've always like good sci-fi. Looking forward to seeing an edited scene. Well worth the 2:10 minutes.

*jaw drop* Rather amazed! This is absolutely awesome. DAZ itself has amazing potential. Really makes me want to work harder at getting to know a few more things before attempting my own even mini production. Well done!!!

I like the music and the atmosphere of the set- it really gives a "What comes next?" so far as something happening around the next corner. You had a very good balance of suspense with pauses, then action, and it blended quite nicely together- a well written script. How long did it take to do all this?

    Hi Novica,

    Thanks for your kind words!

It's taken a few months up to now, working on it here and there, whenever I can really. The longest scene took 11 hours to render. I found that the renders take longer depending upon the lighting. It's always the lighting which seems to slow it down :(
