The art of creating an original character
Hi everyone :)
I hope this is the right forum to ask this question in. I've been wanting to try to create my own characters using M4 and V4. Just as an example, I'd like to create a Kate Beckinsale look-alike for a poster I've been working on for many months now.
How do I go about doing that? Can I do this in Daz Studio only and if so, is there any additional items I should or need to purchase to do this? I'm really hoping that I can do this with just DS. I don't want to download yet more software and have to learn how to use that just to be able to create my own celebrity look-alike's and look-alike's based on people I know in the real world.
I'm using Daz 2.3 (I dislike the higher versions of Daz)
I'm on a PC running Windows 7
Not sure if that information was needed to answer my question but I guess it couldn't hurt to get it out there
Thank you in advance for you replies :)

Well you will need at least the Morphs++ packs for the figures.
Great, I have those. Do I need to have anything like ... V4 Face Application? Not sure when I picked this up but apparently I have it. I do also have DS version 4.6 Pro (really dislike it but if I have to use it for this I will).
I don't know that one. I use just normal Morph dials to create my characters when I can't find one to suit, but then I am not looking for a likeness, just a different character.
I also don't use DS at all, do mine in Poser.
There is a thread in the Commons dedicated to celebrity look alike, might be able to get some pointers and tips in there. Or ask for advice.

As chohole mention Morph++ is definitely useful. DS2 should be fine.
There is a Kate Becknisale inspired character on Rendo http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=89285&AID=666
So it is possible.
Good luck.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
