error when converting modeler in 8.5

Using 8.5, got an error message when I convert from a primitive to the vertex modeler, and from a metaball to a vertex model. I do not get an error from spline to vertex.

Has anyone else had this? Is it a known bug?

    OK, I am feeling picked on. I just uninstalled and reinstalled C 8.5. I am still getting the errors. The only thing it says is that an error occurred. It doesn't describe the error.

    Note - I do not get the error using 8.1. That is what made me think it might be an 8.5 problem.

    It works OK for me too. Carrara 8.5 on a Mac.

    Thanks Brian and Stezza. I should say that the errors occur for C8.5 Windows 64 bit, but not for C8.1 on the same machine.

    I just tried a sphere and a cylinder on 8.5 Pro 64 bit (W7 Ultimate) and both converted fine into the vertex modeler.

    same machine - PC Win8.1 64bit

    The best thing to do in this case, it is to reinstall the program (or to repair if the intaller is planned for that).
