“Mechtropolus for Genesis 8 males and Females” is a full Android body suit that fits Genesis 8 from head to toe it comes with 10 Iray material presets and 9 for genesis 8 male eyes. It will fit all shapes, now and in the future. Be on the lookout for “Mechtropolus Wings” and Cyber hair addons.

Cyber Hair is an update to fit genesis 8 Females see video walk through for details plus more style morphs.

It's a bit tricky than what I thought everything accept for the eyes on G8 are hidden then you would apply a Cutout Opacity map to hide the surface and some how unhide the G8 head.

This is the map I did to hide the head.

Just putting the Mech wings over Hydron armor since I like having the human head...

You're going to have better color matches with the Mechtropolus set since that's designed together, but the palettes can work across the human armors.

The wings have been popular, which is a bit of a surprise as they were a last minute addon.

This looks super good ! I guess metal matches all colors.

Suits like this really need mechanical-looking geografted joints at the elbows, knees, hips, etcetera. I always get an uncanny valley effect by seeing such beautifully convincing textures making the surface so stiffly metallic, yet bending like fabric.

I did, however, purchase the hair! Have been wanting Iray-compatible G3/G8 cable hair for cybernetic characters for ages. Thank you! Would very happily pay for an expansion set which gives all sorts of additional shaping styles for that, if it's ever available. Just need someone to do something similar for an array of segmented cybernetic tails now.

Yes I agree it doesn't have robotic joints, it's more Bio skin. The drawback with the joints that you can't really get all the morph shapes to work unless you do a lot of work with JCMs to fix the bends.

From a commercial point of view the more shapes that can be used with this the more it sells. This one is all automatic and is future proof so all shape will fit, you can't do that with mechanical joints.

But point taken !

Here's the simplest way I know how just render 2 images of the same scene one with the android and one with the skin, overlay the android one on top of the skin image then just erase the the parts you want to show see image for reference !

^ That's the most simple way? Have to say, that seems like a real flaw.

That being said, it looks really cool. Even amongst all the body suits and cyber thingies in the store, this one caught my attention right away. Will be getting it for sure!

I wouldn't say it's a flaw, I never intended it to be a sci-fi suit more a full android. But next time I do something like this, will make some face groups so they can be turned off and on for the head feet and hand. So good feedback. Cheers:)
