Mythic3D's Art Thread - Mostly D&D Art
Thought I'd start a thread showing off some of the stuff I've made for the D&D campaign I've been running. Most of the initial stuff is in my gallery, but I plan to post some WIPs and quick little images I make for the game that I won't be putting in my gallery.
C&C is welcome, although most of this will have already been shown to the players by the time I post it here, so I am unlikely to go back and change things; I'm always happy to learn things that I can apply to future projects though.
This is the cover art I made for the Player's Guide I put together. This was mostly assembled in Carrara, except the broken moon which was made in Blender, with a lot of postwork in Photoshop. I lightened it quite a bit too since it was going to be printed. The final version had some text over the bottom and the name of the world and working title for the campaign near the top:
This is a teaser I made for the group's Facebook page leading into the the session where they were going to have their final battle against a cult they had been tracking for a while. This was assembled and rendered in DAZ Studio with postwork in Photoshop.
This one is a recreation of a scene from a recent adventure where they had to bargain with a dragon. Everything was assembled and rendered in DAZ Studio with postwork in Photoshop. The octopus is the party's druid, who had shapeshifted to explore underwater.
This one is actually four DAZ Studio renders combined into one panoramic image. I printed this and used it as for the cover of my DM screen, with the campaign title in the upper left of the 1st panel, and some text about the campaign in the middle of the fourth panel. This version is smaller than the one I printed (which was 10,150 x 3300 pixels!). My favorite part of this one is the tiefling rogue's tail...I forgot to add it before the render and didn't notice it until I had been working on the whole thing in Photoshop for a while, so I just painted it in in Photoshop.

Those are all lovely! I really love the broken moon effect, that looks awesome!
I agree with Fae, that broken moon image is really nice
The party encounters some stone giants!
This was assembled and rendered in DAZ Studio using the Iray renderer, then run through a few steps of post-work in Photoshop. The ground and background are an HDRI with some additional grass props from various sets bought here, the rock face is from Cliffhanger (https://www.daz3d.com/cliffhanger), and both characters and the giant are Genesis 8 Male.
I'm starting to get to a quasi-painted style with the postwork that I really like.
