Wow, such great work from all. I'm way behind but I want to say how beautiful all the images are, from the chess board to the the lovely landscapes.
mermaid : two beautiful terrain renders, well done.
Horo : I like your moors landscape, picturing the rain is very realistic.
papatulus : thank you. Beautiful render, there is a lot of detail.
papatulus - thank you. Very well done board game. I don't see a seam in the hour glass, I suspect it is the lighting that does that trick.
Hansmar - thank you. Yes, the moor looks more secure for a walk then the alien world.
Thank you NGartplay and adbc.
Horo - Thanks, lovely render, I like the terrain material, very nice lighting.
Papatulus - thanks, very nice render with the checkers.
Hansmar - thanks
Bryce terrains, vegetation and animals free and some trees from Judy K.
mermaid - thank you.
adbc - strange land, everything fits, the beasts, the trees, the needle mountains and the river water.
I call my image simply Fjord. Two terrains with tweaked texture from ProMaterials. The Sky is from Horo's Sunless_HDRI_Skies. The flock of birds is a freebie from open3models.com
Horo : thanks.
Electro-Elvis : the terrains, the sky and the water are in harmony with each other.
Electro-Elvis - that came out very nice, everything fits together.
adbc, that looks exactly like a prehistoric view, brava!
Electro, wow, such a realistic terrain scene.
Adbc - awesome prehistoric render, well done.
Electro -Elvis - nice realistic scene
NGartplay, mermaid : thank you.
adbc - thank you! Yours is a very charming prehistoric scene.
Electro-Elvis - a very tranquil piece, the textures look really good.
Horo - thank you! I attached another render of the same hourglass just to try and show what I was bothered by - since it's only just a segment of a sphere placed on top of a cone, you can see where the two objects meet as a sort of darker disc within the glass, rather than the seamless texture you'd expect from shaped glass, and I'm too inexperienced with the program to know if there's an easy way (or any way at all) to fix that. That being said, as I mess around with it and lighting I figure its both not really noticeable and can be covered up with some good lighting and camera angles. I think I was just trying to find flaws in my own piece!
Also, I really like your moor render, definitely not one I'd like to visit in that weather. My posts here have to be approved (presumably because I'm a new user?) so I wasn't ignoring your last render!
thank you also Hansmar, NGartplay and mermaid.
papatulus - thank you. Yes, now I see what you mean. Maybe if you combine the glass parts (select all parts and use [C] to combine them to a mesh and then smooth it) may help, or using metaballs - though that isn't simpler.
A cylinder displaced with a texture from the installed library. Light, backdrop and reflection by an HDRI from Hypertextures Base and a bit of sun light and specularity. File size 3 MB, memory usage 135 MB.
The anaglyph is not so dramatic but shows that the cylinder, a bit rotated, is indeed Displaced.
Horo, marvelous! Good idea to use the displacement once in a while.
Wow Horo, superb render, the anaglyph is nice too.
Horo, wonderful construction of the object and nice render
Thank you Hansmar, mermaid and NGartplay.
papatulus : thank you.
Horo : cool render and anaglyph.
Thank you adbc.
The W Island from the High Res set 3 was used in this render, the Lowpath Hdri was used as a backdrop.
mermaid : awesome landscape, the sky and the water are a good combination.
mermaid - most beautiful combination of Bryce and backdrop. It fits perfectly.
Thanks Horo and Adbc
Mermaid, that is so beautiful!
mermaid, that looks very good.
Thanks NGartplay and Hansmar
A balloon tour along a valley. The clouds are a massive slab. This one took 8 hours to render (on a i9 CPU) even though the slab was excluded from IB Light.
Wow beautiful landscape, Horo the clouds look great. I think a 3D will look fantastic.
Another view of the C Island, using an Hdri from the Golden Lighting set
Great terrain, Horo.
Mermaid, interesting view of the island.
Two versions of the same scene. Using the Pitts- terrain by David and Horo, skies from the Fantastic skies by the same authors, an odd world object by Matcreator and a freebie astronaut from 3dregenerator. I also used a dirty lens from the lenses and filters set.
