For anyone who has used shadermap pro version 2 offers a lot more it was released just over a week ago just thought I would pass this on as its great to jazz up all those old models before displacement and normal maps were used.

there is a demo on the site I have played with it a bit and its a great improvement over shadermap pro.

A new version of ShaderMap 2 has just been released.

Here is a list of the new features:

- Redesigned User Interface
- Normal Map Painting
- Internal / External visualizer window
- 32 / 64 bit binaries
- Muli-core support
- Added more image formats including PSD and DDS.
- External editor integration
- ShaderMap material editor
- Advanced maps configuration
- Expandable using map plugins
- Expandable using HLSL shaders for materials
- Free ShaderMap SDK for developers

...how do I apply (in demo) the textures to an object's material zone? (Like, "horns" material to wyvern's horns.) I can't seem to find a way to do it.

Ill have to get back to you on that I dont own the Wyvern I dont think Ill have to go through my history see if I have bought it at some point.

but without the full version there is no way to save and I cant buy the full version till tuesday though because I have ver 1 pro I can get version 2 for $19.95 so if I havent bought it Ill see if I have enough money to purchase Wyvern and have a try.

I just had a mess around with the sub dragon in shadermap 2 you will need a plugin found in this thread http://shadermap.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=24

Ill make a video later and post it here how I have managed to put a texture just on the horns of the sub dragon. you should get how to do it then..

Oh, cool! Yes, that's what I wanted to do -- any "apply material to selected surface" is what I wanted to do, doesn't need to be wyvern. :) Thanks! I'll dig up the plugin and give it a go. I just want to see how well it works, and if it works the way I want it to work, well... then I might want to buy it -- doesn't matter if I can't save at this stage. :)

@ Skiriki did you work it out or shall I make the video for you to see?

    @ Loaar

Yes it sure does it creates Normal,Displacement,Specular and Ambiant Occlusion maps from the diffuse texture map, great for adding more detail to your renders in studio or poser or other render engines.

I have told the creator I have posted about it here hopefully he will pop by and give better details as he could do it more justice than I could.
