Texture a human body tutorials

Hi. I am a Gimp and Blender user. I am asking you if you know some good tutorials on texturing a Daz character. I am trying to morph Genesis or Victoria 5, to make her face look as a female in a certain photo. (more interested in face) I want to know how do you make textures, what techniques do you use.

How to achieve this? It is a texture or a shader? What software/pipelines do you use in making textures?

Textures are created in image editors, then loaded in the Surfaces pane with the desired shader applied and the settings adjusted as needed. For a render lighting also plays a major role in the final look.
