Naturally Move Hip

Hello,
I'm having a problem with IK target. Basically I want to move the hips naturally. For example, I want to be able to move the hips down and have the knees bend (or move the hips up and lift the feet up off the ground). If I move the hips forward, then everything else will follow. I was able to achieve this type of motion in Poser 6. I understand kinematics, just not how to achieve the type of motion I described in Cararra 8 pro. Any help, guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated.

You can have limited success by adding target helpers to the feet. I forget exactly how to set it up but you'll need a floor ( plane or other) and set collision on.
Translate the hip down and the feet stay put and knees will bend.
Hope this is enough to get you going. Experiment see how you go
cheers
Oh ! if this helps Consider supporting our new community animation site by posting your your results in the forum to help others.

Hi Ooseven. He had posted two threads and the answer was given in this one:

Incidentally, I demonstrated using IK to make V4 ride a bike:

I would do stuff at the Carrarators web site, but it gives me grief.
thanks - i thought it strange there were no responses
Nice explanation of using targets - and great cycle animation!
Sad to hear you bypass " carrarators" because of problems .
Could you tell me what the hassle is as others may have the same issue in which case I should try to sort it out ?
cheers
Partly it is my out of date browser and computer. Partly it is the web site. Usually if I have out of date plugins, I get a notification. I get none at Carararators.
I'm on a PPC Mac running the last version of Safari and Firefox that supports the PPC. I can still watch youtube videos and Vimeo stuff just fine.
The first image is the front page, and the second is one of the theaters.
Thanks for the response. Sorry I posted twice, but I signed in under my DAZ account the second time. I forgot about this double post. I will most definitely post my results both here and at the animation site when I'm finished! Thanks again!
Thanks for clearing up the mess up. Much appreciated.
Could you try this direct link for the forum ? http://bond3d.wix.com/carrarators#!forum/cl3g
Is your flash plugin up to date ?
