Loading troubles for Carrara 8.5 Pro from Carrara 8.1 (build 153) Pro Ideas needed

I’m having trouble opening/loading a few .car files that I saved in C8.1P while in C8.5P. I trouble to see if there could be a workaround or any other ideas before I report it as a bug.

All related files are of trucks with the same basic cab design, I can import the trucks if I imported them as a Wavefront (.obj) File but I lose all of the groups, the shaders, lights & cameras.

    If you still have 8.1 installed and can open them there, can you try grouping your entire scene and dragging to the browser? For some reason the Browser is sometimes the best way to get elements from one scene to another, maybe it will help with this issue too?

    Also be sure you have ALL the same plugins installed. I had some crashes or errors opening 8.1 scenes in 8.5 until I added all the plugins.... I don't remember the specifics... In previous versions of Carrara an unknown shader would get changed to Color: red. That made the effected shaders easy to see, but whatever issue I had (it was months ago shortly after the official release of 8.5) it just refused to open.
