Layered Image Editor and Preview Performance Slow Down.

Hello,
I'm just trying (Layered Image Editor) LIE right now, with some elements I'm making myself and some commercial ones (more precisely tattoo parlor, wet body generator, aging bundle from zev0), and I have a terrible slow down of my computer as soon as I make or load a Layered image.
When I say a slow down it is something like : you move your perspective view, you take a coffee, you here your computer suffering, and your new perspective view finally appears (I'm kidding for the coffee but the new image in the preview window must take 30 seconds to appear, 30 seconds during which your computer has all his fans maximum speed).
I have kind a solution, which is to use the "wire shaded mode" and the problem is then apparently solved. This is only due to the preview mode of layered images in "texture shaded" preview mode for instance.
But I'd like to know if anybody had ever met this preview problem, or if I am the only one? (I did not see anybody complaining)
And if any body knows a solution for that?
Note that the render time is ok, it is just the preview modes where the texture is visible. Very strange.
Thanks for any tips about this!

Hi mjc, I post here my system configuration, I'll have a deeper look in the 3D video board configuration just after I finish this post.

Hello Richard, for now the Interface settings are the following ones (see image).
They are not the one I had in the beginning, I have already modified them today and the image I post here is what I did when I tried to set them so that they require the less from the video board.

Turn PER PIXEL shading OFF unless you REALLY need it.
