Carrara will not load on my Mac

Hello all,
I have taken the plunge and bought 8.5. (Yeah, yeah, I know, what took so long?)
I am trying to load it on my mac. After typing the serial number Carrara shuts down.
I have an imac with a 3.4 quad processor i7, 16gig of ram, OS 10.7.2. Carrara 8.1 is loaded already. Anyone have a similar problem?

    I read elsewhere in the forum of someone else having this problem. It seems to be similar to the earlier problem where Carrara would not perminately accept the serial number on newer Mac OS systems unless it was run once as the Root User.
    Running Carrara as the Root User via the Mac Terminal App, and then entering the serial number was reported to have solved this newer problem as well.
