It looks like the bottom center image is missing, there's a link there to it instead of the image?

Old Telegraphs and related stuff: http://www.sharecg.com/v/67224/browse/11/Poser/Old-Telegraphs-and-related-stuff (the dial, the bell box, the battery packs, the thing under the gramaphone. The complete scene items had issues, but individually the parts work fine.)
SAMS3D gramaphone: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=67390
Chainmail seamless tile and maps merchant resource http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=73125 (as a displacement map on the dog to fake detail prior to adding extra parts)

Also used to create pipe seals on the contraption mid right.)

air kraken barometer: http://www.sharecg.com/v/46529/related/5/3D-Model/Air-Kraken-Barometer?interstitial_displayed=Yes
Definitely Cheesecake - Genesis: http://www.sharecg.com/v/60219/browse/11/Poser/Definitely-Cheesecake-Genesis (started with one pose in this set, moved leg.)
I believe that should be it, and everything else in the scene should be primitives. Some items were partially or completely retextured. The lace in the cleavage is just painted on. The ripply heat shield on the contraption to the right is just a cylinder primitive with smoothing. Steam and records and sky/clouds are plane primitives. Giant hinged bars are a sphere, a cylinder, and a cube primitive. Chain handles aren't actually part of the industrial chamber, they're just tori. Some of the gears were stretched wider. The dog started as the millennium dog, had the chain mail texture applied as a displacement map to give it lots of fake mechanical-looking detail, then I added a few squashed spheres for the smooth parts and cones for the ears, then stuck a few gears and pipes on it.
Thank you Sean for checking. The image is there. This site is very slow on purpose and so sometimes things timeout before loading. So in your case that picture did not load in time. If you can go back and confirm my supposition that would be great. Only need to hear if you are still getting an x.
Wow! Lots of steamy and punky things in there! :) Good lighting. Nice work!
Dana
I hope I did this right I've never entered a freebie challenge before.

Ah, a steampunk still life! Nice.
Dana
Thank you.
I've just uploaded a 2-piece conforming steampunk outfit for V4. Materials are for Poser -- nodes and procedurals were used in all the textures -- but they could be tweaked for DS. Disclaimer: I didn't do much refining on this, and it isn't properly welded. This won't cause any problems unless you try to use it in the cloth or fitting rooms.

Oh man Sean, what a lot of work you did setting this scene up. I appreciate your efforts. All of your links check out. ENTRY ACCEPTED.
Thank you fictionalromance for entering the contest. Some lovely freebies you have listed there and all of the links check out. ENTRY ACCEPTED. And on a personal note I want to thank you for your contribution to my own collection of freebies. You have made some very nice ones.
Sweet!!!! Karibous. Thank you very much. Love the little details.
Thank you. That means a lot.
Sweet!!!! Karibous. Thank you very much. Love the little details.
I hate being redundant -- I just posted this in my freebie announcement thread, but since this month is Steampunk, I figured I'd copy you all here. SO... Doh!! I initially uploaded the version without skirt handles. (This is what I get for working into the wee hours of the morning!) File has been updated to include the posable skirt. Same link as before. Sorry!
Okay, here's my entry for the month. I've discovered that deciding what to put in a freebie steampunk image is a lot like I'm sifting through a "runtime consignment shop." Lol. So many cool things hiding in the dusty back corners!!
Title: Bits 'n Pieces
Rendered in Poser Pro 2014. No postwork except the signature and outer black border.
I spent a LOT of time making sure the image looked the way I wanted, which is hard because I'm a big fan of postwork. But since that isn't allowed, I got creative. Even the vignette is rendered! (I sized a prop square so that it was the same aspect ratio as my image and then made a super-quick transparency map with white edges that blurred into a black center. I put the prop square between my scene and the camera and, voila! Rendered vignette!) Oh, and the blue swirly effect is actually a freebie prop, placed in exactly the same manner. Also, for those with very sharp eyes, you can see that Vicky's armpits are smooth -- no purchased morph used, just applied Poser's morph brush, which doesn't count as a paid-item because it's an "item given free" with Poser.
No-Counts: Victoria 4 (Daz3D), and the vignette mask I made (here, in case anyone else ever wants to use it?)
Paid items: None. Zip. Zilch. :)

It felt really good to make something. It's been a crappy month, but this was fun. :)
EDIT: Removed Vignette image from post and moved it to my website because it looked horrible just sitting above my pretty picture, lol. Didn't change the entry image at all!
Thank you Karibous for entering and giving us two new freebies!. Love the story about how you put your render together. It is so nice to see how people deal with the no post work rule. All of your links check out. ENTRY ACCEPTED.
Okay here is my second entry. BTW I am having too much fun with this. It's like a scavenger hunt trying to find enough items to complete the render.

I used the rust textures on many of the metal items in the scene. The grunge backgrounds for the green in the windows. I auto fitted the hair and goggles to V6 and used the steampunk shaders on some of the glass items in the scene. I believe I have everything listed.
(Wish I could come up with an idea for a scene - I had one, but somebody beat me to it. Shan't say who.)
Very nicely done!
Dana
Another very nice one! Is that green steam? Is it toxic?
Dana
Another very nice one! Is that green steam? Is it toxic?
Dana
Yup that is green steam. I used the freebie fog that I listed and changed the surface color. I haven't decided if it's toxic though. Of course there is the glass ether bottle in the scene so just maybe it might be. It's like that scary movie where the fog rolls in so thick and starts taking people I guess...Just thought of that
Another nice render fictionalromance. Your links check out. ENTRY ACCEPTED!
So I have so wanted to do a Steampunk render but just not ever had the time. I decided that since the host can enter I would. I won't be competing but that is just fine with me. I had an itch and I scratched it. There are some pretty awesome renders in this months contest. I feel sorry for my judges. There is also some nice sharing of trade secrets too. It is always great when people are willing to share how something was done. Sorry fictionalromance about having a scene that has a tub in it. I think though that there is enough difference in the two renders that we don't step on each other's toes. There is something special about a bath. So here is my entry:
Captain's Quarters: Honor takes a bath.
Created in DAZ 4.6 Pro. Postwork to add signature done with Paint Shop Pro.
Freebies:
Bath: Bubbles * SpaceBones Liquid Converted For DS4.5 by Spacebones.
Bath: Foam * Liquids by SpaceBones. This is listed for those that don't want the shaders.
Cabin: Ceiling * Walnut Wood Panel by gordon3d.
Cabin: floor * Roman Mosaic Tile Floor by Gandolf50.
Cabin: Wall DM's Wall of Litany by DM Productions.
Cabin: Window * Various Objects by spacebones.
Cabin: Window Wall * Accurate Holes Templates by Spacebones.
Captain: Hair * Cardassian Hair by mylochka.
Clothes Pile Boy Friend Sweater by Opitex. first row first column
Clothes Pile Horse Riding Pants by Opitex.
Environment: Lighting * UberEnvironment2 Light-set5 (for SkyDome Exp5) by glaseye.
Jacket: 20 Coat 06 by Optitex.
Jacket: Braids on sleeve Fisty's Bridal Jewelry by Fisty.
Jacket: Signia on collar Serenity Kanje Earrings by Inception8.
Ornithopter * Steampunk Ornithopter .obj for DAZ/Poser by Urdwolf.

Sky * RDNA SkyDome V3 Text Pack 1 by Traveler.
Sky: texture * RDNA SkyDome V 3.0 by Traveler.
No Count:
Boots Das Boots for Victoria 4 by Goldtassel Swam.
Jacket: Braid on sleeve DM's Snake Jewels by DM Productions.
Gears on Window sill are from a freebie from Sharecg that is no longer available. I have no information about the freebie except that is was a Bryce opb that I imported out as an obj.
Captain: Skin Sabby Akiko by Sabby.
The following are freebies that if you want the links please PM me.
Cabin: Cornice Cornice N310312 by Conceptspace.
Bath: tub Bath Doctor Jet Baden N170313 by Tessa Kovach.
Cabin: Railing Cornice 4 by S.Gainsbourg.
Chair Armchair N171011 by Mark Brook.
clothes pile Bathrobe by 3dbar.
Dress form Mannequin N120313 by Paulina Kochanowicz.
Paid Fors:
Environment: Lighting * Advanced Ambient Light by Age of Armour.
Shader: Walls tub ceiling * Funky Old Patina by IgnisSerpentus.
* means registration is required.
So I used a nice little script by Casual to uvmap some of the objects in the scene. You can find out about this script by going here. The Spacebones objects are not uvmapped so this script really came in handy for creating a nice clean map.
Another thing is the shaders I used for the tub, walls and such. I used the paid for product Funky Old Patina, but Ignis Serpentus has his filter for filterforge on the filterforge site for free, [url= http://www.filterforge.com/filters/11357.html]here. It is called Metalicious by IgnisSerpentus. You can download filterforge for a month for free and you have access to all of their filters. You can create normal maps, bump maps, special effects, all sorts of stuff. It is a texturer's dream machine.
Well that is it. Oh all links check out and ENTRY ACCEPTED!
Quite nice!
Dana
Thank you Dana
The GALLERY has been updated!
Dollygirl: I have not been a part of the Freebie Contest for long but it has been my experience that there are great renders every month.
You are correct Kismet.
On another note.
I see in the host schedule that we have Rob in March and then me in April but we have no one for May. Are there any takers? Hosting is pretty easy and you do not have to give anything to the winners or entrants. You
just have to check links and say that the entry meets your criteria for the contest and make some comments through the month. You won't be alone, there is Music and his band of ETOs to help. Need an idea for the
contest just ask. Rules are already in place. Prizes have been identified. Easy peasy.
But you can also up the ante by adding more prizes. Go pound the sidewalk and get some PA's to cough up some goodies. You can also mess with the rules to some extent, like I did with allowing the extra morphs for the
base figures as no counts this month. So how about it people? Is there a soul willing to take on the banner and play with us?

PS. Love the render DollyGirl
I think my favorite part is looking at everyone else's renders and then downloading all the cool things that I didn't know existed!!
