Here is a character I created for the book cover of my novel, "Saoirse" surrounding the Irish Slaves of America, back in 1644 and actually earlier. That date is when my novel begins. But Pe'hor is one of many native women of this land, who worked to FREE the Irish slaves, only to find themselves enslaved. I'm especially proud of Pe'hor aka Lil'Pheybey, because she is EXACTLY what I imagined for her. And that was made possible only by Daz3d.com and their stunning pursuit of excellence.

You have made my job as an author - to write stories that come to life... come to life for ME. Because I can actually bring these people I imagine from my mind to the writen word and book covers. Just had to bring her into BIB II

    Because I haven't posted in a while.

Started with Kelly for V7, spun some dials, applied skin textures for Maret for V7 because her skin is darker. The eye color is from Dahlia for G3F.

Clicking on the image should take you to the larger version at dA.

MKeyes, I am absolutely obsessed with that picture. Probably the most beautiful figure I've seen on DAZ.  Excellent work, you are a magnificent artist.

    Thank you! :)  Appreciate it.

  • I believe I'm caught up but let me know if the list is missing something.

Separate from the list itself: Maybe it's just me but it feels like there's been something of an upswing in darker characters over the past year.  Still not massive numbers or anything but it feels more consistent and they're generally better done.

Probably because the image exceeds 2MB. At least that's the trouble I had.

And thanks to the OP for the original post and the creator of the free Toon Tones for Sadie & Sam.

I've been having problems uploading images lately (I couldn't even embedded images already uploaded). I had to clear DAZ cookies to get it to work. This happened twice in 2 days—never had that problem before.

  • Here's a render I did back in January. The character is based on Dash for M7 and rendered in Iray.

I believe that as of now the list is current but give me a heads up if you see something missing.

Something I've noticed over the past year or so is that there's been a quiet upswing in the amount of content released.

Does anyone have Jasmine and can show off her skin in different lighting? Preferably Painter's Lights if you have them.

Huh. Finally a plausible use for that outfit. I keep seeing it, and wondering whether parts are usable. And then sheering off.  I may need to consider it again.

Hiro Protagonist- I remember when you first did that image!  It is still just as beautiful as I remember!

Over in Freebies, we're discussing a really promising Iray Skn settings..

    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/86526/awesome-iray-skin-shader-settings-by-florentmoon#latest

I've had vey promising results with lighter skins.

I'm now trying a darker one, but clearly it needs adjustments, but this is all new to me, and I'm just clicking settings at random, so this seems like a good place to come for some help:)

The left side is the default 3DL, the right has my formula attached, but before changing the settings.

The skin is Shayana from Silver

I personally have little Iray experience but it has come up in discussion before in the thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/878827/#Comment_878827

Definitely looks improved though slightly dry. What is your end goal for the skin?
