Bryce asking for registration information each time

I am asking for a friend ... Bryce 7.1 Pro and Win8.1 64bit

Bryce is asking each time for registration when he starts it. Additionally sometimes it doesn't save files.

He tried installing it again (and again, and again), but it still happens.

Any ideas?

Did he download and install it manually, using the .exe file himself  

Did he isnstall the various files in the right order, installing the actual program file first

I asked him ... let's see (but he IS a longtime Bryce user, so I doubt he did something wrong).

I was checking back    and Win 8  did give many people problmes  using Bryce.    Several threads
one link that was posted  https://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-8/how-to-run-older-programs-under-windows-8/   but if you say your brother is wexperienced in Bryce he may not need it.

Well - yesterday his Bryce started without problems. LOL - computers!

But now he has some options and ideas what to do when it acts up again.
