The Track Modifier? n/m

i've added a moon light and moon cam.

i want the moon cam to look at the moon disk in the sky.

so far i've tried the tracker on the mooncam, assigning the moonlight.  but it showing the lighticon, not looking at sky.

then i tried putting the modifer on the light and set it to track the camera.

i rthink i'm completely misunderstanding the track modifier.

i think i read a post about a workaround for tracking the sun or moon disk, i forget now. memory fart/

n/m  easier to just put a sphere moon

thought grouping the light and the camera, i could turn then together to keep the moon in range

but the camera goes wonky directions, won't stay with the group >.<

got one good frame but then rotating the group not working out. tried centering the hot point for the group
