Convert a original figure made in Daz studio to a Poser figure

Hi
How would I go about turning an original figure I've already rigged in Daz studio into a Poser figure?
I thought it was as simple as exporting as cr2 file but that doesn't seem to be working for me so I thought I'd post here and find out exactly what I need to do.
Any help would be appreciated

    The original figure has to be "legacy" rigged in order to be created into a .cr2 file.

    I have made a simple model to experiment with just a tail with three groups
    and I have created a figure from it in Daz studio which uses parametric(legacy) as the rigging type but it still doesn't import into poser correctly after exporting as a cr2. The first section of the tail does not move with the bone while the last two do (also the problem only occurs after the figure has been exported there is no visible problem before it is exported)
    Does anyone know what my problem might be?

    Wild guess here ... something needs tweaking with the Joint Editor tool.

    Remember, a bone is also affected by the other one or two bones it is attached to. End points may need adjusting. Twist, Side to side, Bend ...

    How many bones and what are they named?

    Because if there are only 3 then the 1st one is probably becoming the root.

    Yeah there are only three and I just named them part_1, part_2 and part_3

    It's been a while since I rigged anything that way, but I thought you needed 'parts + 1' bones...and at least for bipeds, Poser (DS too) was rather picky when it came to naming the bones. But since it's not a biped, at least the test tail, that shouldn't have much of an impact.

    I think I may have solved my problem although I'm not exactly certain how.
    I took a look at what some other poser compatible figures look like in the figure setup tab and based off what I saw I renamed my bones to part01, part02 and part03 & also selected the appropriate bones in the weld heading. But it's possible the problem may simply have been a result of how I was loading the figure into poser 9, I couldn't find my figure in the library so I was dragging it in when all I needed to get it to show up was to save it to the characters folder in Runtime/Libraries.

    I have a new question now:
    I only just noticed there is a IK chains section in figure setup, can anyone tell me how that works or is there anything I can read that explains it?

    please note, those videos are refering to the original Figure Setup Tools which was the predecessor to the current Content Creation Toolkit. However, rigging for Poser has not really changed so other then certain tools and options being in different places it should give you an idea of how to set up what you want to do.

    Which version of Poser are you trying to convert to? If it is to Poser Weightmapped their are tutorials over at Hivewire for how to do this.
