Flesh Interaction
Disclaimer: I'm an uber newb. I realize the explanation to this issue could be well over my pay-grade, but I basically just want to know if its possible.
Question:
How does one, if possible, make flesh behave realistically when manipulated by objects? For example, if want a nice flesh-grab look, and want the flesh to be squeezed by a hand so some of the flesh protrudes in and around the fingers. Or If I want a woman to be pressing her chest to a surface and have her breasts be sorta squished looking...how, if at all, are these sort of flesh interactions possible?
Thank you very much!!!

Hi,
the magic word is "collision handling".
I could deliver a description now, but I think there are a lot of helpful tutorials on youtube.

But as I just learnt, if you play too much with the parameters, terrible things happen ...
Had a simple plane, only a smooth touching, but turned the smoothing and collision parameters too high.

Can you let us know which software you are using, and which figure or figures? The answer really varies depending on these factors.
Yeah sure. So I'm hoping to e able to do this with Victoria 4 along with morphs ++ in Daz4.6. Does that help?
Well, DS doesn't have a true soft-body physics engine, unfortunately. You can fake it, depending on the situation, with morphs or by using d-formers. For the breasts, I think there is a morph set designed for doing that. It's available at Renderosity if I recall correctly (there are sets for Genesis and Genesis 2 Female sold here at DAZ). Don't recall the exact name of it, but I think it's something like "Squish Morphs."
And the smoothing and collision modifiers can help too, as mentioned upthread. I haven't tried it with V4 myself, though.
The Breast set for V4 is sold here.. its here http://www.daz3d.com/nbm-for-v4 and are others with other morphs too.
This is just the sort of thing I've been trying to do with G2F in DS4.6. I assumed you could use D-Formers, but I'm struggling to get them working properly. Could anyone point me at an up to date idiot's guide?
Hmm.. it can be done but I'll need to hunt up the Deformer Field info, it's got settings to change the field type, that helps loads with getting better shaping from them. I mostly use many small ones but that's not going to be what you need.
Thanks for that. The most I've managed with D-Formers was to give someone a pointy head! - But that was a while back. They don't seem to work quite like they used to.
