Poised Poses For Genesis Basic Female (DAZ3D / Khory)
http://www.daz3d.com/poised-poses-for-genesis-basic-female
Khory gives you a really nice variety, both standing and sitting. Rendered a large one for you overnight :) Those are now the Gossip pants, and no mysterious triangles. I think my studio is bewitched or something. Still the Philly Hair, Gossip shirt, Keira. I'll do a few more poses then headed to the barn to put my horse in his stall under a fan. (106-110 degree heat index. No mammal should have to stand out in that heat, particularly a black horse who has to be out in the sun to eat grass.)
EDIT: Added more poses
Alright dang it, the Gossip Pants are doing it again. It doesn't want to accept any poses (not just Khory's, did it with Sedor's too.)
EDIT: Compare to Effortless Cool pants. Great fit. So noted- ditching the Gossip Pants. Again.
It looks as if they are very much attracted to your UE thingy.
I somtimes get some pointiness with the front of Elven Hair, but a reload usually fixes it there. I'm sure you already tried that, though.
Well, I wish they'd stop "dating." :)
Yes, I reloaded about four times. Thanks for the idea though!
Fangtastic For Genesis 2 Male(s)
http://www.daz3d.com/fangtastic-for-genesis-2-male-s
Remember, I got the bundle with both male and female morphs. It's in stores impacted by the summer promo / PC+ artists for this week, ending shortly. (They said the artists are in for about ONE WEEK.)
Before I play with it, I just want to say KUDOS to the vendor of Fangtastic. Cake One is setting a great example of how to take care of customers. And makes a very flexible product.
Look at this wonderful- WONDERFUL explanation of how to use Fangtastic. I THINK you can use this just to slightly change teeth too- so it's not just for vampires.
http://docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/public/read_me/index/18302/18302_fangtastic-genesis-2-males.pdf
I had loaded Gianni and clicked one of the images and the mouth opened but no fangs. So I'm thinking, "Hmmm. Doesn't work on Gianni. So I used DIM, went to the ReadMe (great use of the DIM, even if you don't use it for anything else) and found the explanation. Going to play and come back. Anyone else using Fangtastic, this is your chance. Post your renders (IF the teeth are clearly shown.)
I've seen something similar from time to time with various clothing. It could be that the clothing is not only "Fit To", but also "parented".
I don't know why this happens, but when I unparent the item (it continues to be "fit to" the figure) it will fix the problem. Sometimes. :)
Oh man, you folks have GOT to get Fangtastic. It's....FUNtastic.
It DOES change regular teeth just enough to be realistic- instead of having squared off teeth, you can get those realistic rounded corners. Many people have slightly elongated canine teeth- THIS IS PERFECT.
I went into Poses after I used the sliders, and added a bit of "Snarl" and "Anger" then brought in the bottom lip about 35%. I hid the bottom teeth (as you can read in the PDF, that is a great option so the front teeth get the attention they deserve. There's a slider for doing that. Very convenient, Cake One thought of everything!)
Here's some screenshots while Gianni is rendering.
I've seen something similar from time to time with various clothing. It could be that the clothing is not only "Fit To", but also "parented".
I don't know why this happens, but when I unparent the item (it continues to be "fit to" the figure) it will fix the problem. Sometimes. :)
Thanks Tjohn- I'll keep that in mind if it happens again. It's weird that I don't recall that ever happening before though, and I've done (by this point) hundreds and hundreds of renders.
Does it help when you turn off smoothing? I've had odd artifacts occur because smoothing was on on certain outfits causing the geometry to go bizarro.
So here's Gianni- I would tweak the teeth color a bit more, this was just a stab in the dark for the diffuse color (was 228 across the board, changing it to 241 which is a lighter blue, more white.) Glossy was at 34, I tested it at 64 in this one. There's two specular colors, I just did one. But this color kinda goes with the creepy aspect :)
If I come back to it, I'll check. I think the smoothing was only on 2, I didn't mess with any of that.
This dress was poking threw around the chest on eve, without smoothing. With smoothing, it was poking threw on the back side.
I had to leave the smoothing on, and adjust the chest size to 0.30 on Eve.
I also noticed that some times when I load cloths, they don't take to the figure. Sometimes changing the "Fit to" back to G2F from None fixes it, other times I need to remove the item from the scene, and try loading it again. It may be a forgetful scene tab select on my part.
And that is the least of Eve's difficulties at the moment. The hovering cubes are back, lol.
(edit)
you can laugh, I didn't expect that hair for Poser only, to load at all. I couldn't resist that swat the fly pose, lol.
I'm doing that at high res and adding it to my gallery, it's to funny.

@Novica. Your Gianni looks durn good with his smiley vampy teeth. =-)
I admit when I contemplated buying teeth products, I rarely DO renders where the chompers show that much. Odd huh?
zarcondeegrissom- what on earth ARE those cubes?Yeah, I caught that she was swatting at them. Funny!
SereneNight- you'll notice I'm with you. I rarely had teeth showing because I hate the "See my dentures, nice and square?" look. Now you'll be seeing more teeth in my figures because this product makes teeth uneven. TIP: using the turn off parameters option, you can make teeth SMALLER and then round them, so they come back down to where they should be, but have a nice rounded / or irregular edge. Love this product!!!
One thing I will point out, one of the teeth has a darker gum right above it and I'm not sure if it's from Fangtastic or not. It's not a big deal, the gum can be hidden, and the rest of the gum can be darkened anyway IMO. I'd shut the mouth more, I'm just showing you what can be done with making teeth look more normal using this product.
This is with the 141/141/141 diffuse color.
Imagine this smile, with the mouth closed more, and no bottom teeth showing. :) YUMMY.
I circled the two teeth that I shortened, then elongated with a bit of a point, and took off a bit of the side of it (I think. The morphs did it all.)
EDIT: Added one with the lower lip brought up, lips changed, just upper teeth mostly showing.
The cubes have something to do with adjusting how the hair flows/moves/hangs, kind of like the handles for skirts. It's a poser thing, and supposedly they should not show up in renders. There's a thread on it somewhere, yet they were spheres not cubes, for a dress.
(Edit 02:02UTC 09AUG2014)
Solution. Select the "hmhmHair" in the scene tab, then select the "handle" surface in the "Surfaces" tab, Set the Opacity Strength to 0%.

I use the Variety poses a lot, there are a lot of natural ones, playful ones like this (when he has a smile on his face, that is!) Note there are reaching poses, extended body poses- you'll really find the title lives up to its name. Variety!
And this shows you those same teeth, how they look from a distance. Very natural, no denture king.
one difficulty I've come across with some of the canned poses, is they seam to set limited limits on joints. I'll put the figure in a scene, throw a canned-pose on as a starting point, then the arm cant quite go to where it needs to be for that scene. It's really bad with hands.
Almost All of the poses I've done, where from scratch. "O" that outfit dose look good on Gianni.
If this is in Daz Studio, navigate to the Scene pane. Select the hair, and click on the arrow to the left of it so it points downward. Does this reveal a hierarchy? If so, you may see something(s) with helper in the name. Click on the eye symbol for each helper. This should make the cubes invisible.
Select your figure. Edit/Figure/Limits/Limits Off.
Then apply the pose.
Or click the cog right above the slider, go into parameter settings and uncheck the limits box. (For DAZ Studio though)
Thanks, I'll look at all thews in a sec. Looks like all the controls for the hair are accessible like all the genesis joints in the pose pain / parameters tab, for each handle (Exactly like the skirts). I just went to the surface tab, and turned the "Handle" surface opacity to 0%.

"HMHM Hair" by "Red Viper" (sharecg)
I need to fuss with the skirt some more. I tried the 'Sit' slider partly to keep the skirt from ballooning out at the knee, and it needs more tweaking for this pose.
(Edit)
That dose look kind of like Luminara, from that cartoon.

The Battle Girl is pretty cool if you like Anime/Manga characters.
I like the Bow Skirt because it comes with some useful morphs which allow you to adjust for some fairly extreme poses (like this one). No shoes with it though.
Sorry about the loud, distracting background, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
John
I don't know, I kinda like the background :)
That certainly is an interesting concept with the integration of whatever-that-is into the skin surface. I liked the movement of the Bow Skirt the minute I saw it- has a really nice swing! Thanks for doing Janna Hair, I haven't seen that one.
That skin texture reminds me of that obnoxious android from that Bicentennial Man movie, lol.
My doubts with that Bow dress, is I'd rather use a different top with it.
Airboat 105 (The AntFarm)

Another of the new releases in the summer promo that will help you get stacking discounts. No, I did NOT attempt to put this in water, I'm just sharing my test renders and not making them into scenes. I have a lot of products I want to test.
Renders fairly quickly, these are larger renders and at a .20 shading rate and excellent settings. This starts with side views and the third one is a back view. Really nice textures (as usual) from The AntFarm.
Did you notice the scenery in the fourth one- reflected in the windshield?
CLICK TO ENLARGE, CLICK AGAIN. Large renders.

I saw this and thought it might make you smile. :)

I was just messing around with the Ocean Wide product by Marshian. I was quite impressed with the included skydomes which create a really beautiful sunset sky. There are 3 included domes in the set, a night storm, a midday, and sunrise/sunrise
Just perfect for my submerged spacebase.
Lights are included with the skydomes. This is not any artistic masterpiece just meant to show you the pretty sky. =-)
@Tjohn. Thanks for showing battle girl. I am a bit on the fence about that one. I usually buy every cyborg there is.
@Novica: Your gianni looks diabolical in that outfit. Surely that grin means he is up to no good!
tjohn...You rock! All it needs is some "Skin So Soft" for the moquito repellent. (BTW folks Coconut Oil and Neem Oil was found 98% effective in the (heavily bug infested) tropical forests of Thailand for repelling bugs. I get all mine from Puritan Pride. Cut out a SMALL HOLE in the front of a milk jug (not large enough for a squirrel or other animal to get the oils on them) then put a sponge saturated with the oils in it and add a few drops of citronella oil and geranium oil. Hang it in the shade near the area you want to repel insects. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF HORSES as they may play with it.)
SereneNight- wow, I really like those skies and the water reflections. Nice use of the camera tilt :)
EDIT: I meant to tell everyone that the desert outfit has a cool facial covering but then you couldn't see the Fangtastic.

Going to change things up a bit, based on the character Giselle release and a few other considerations.
Reminder: when you see ICG that stands for Invited Guest Contributors. Those individuals have been asked to post renders on the thread based on their wonderful rendering abilities and wide experiences with DAZ, Poser, etc. Thanks again for all of your support :) And in case you haven't watched the previous three threads, we're about 147,000+ views/posts. Doing this daily is so much easier because of the ICG contributions.
So now, let's discuss what I'd like to do a bit differently.
Obviously, this is a bit different type of render than I normally do, as I use bits and pieces of the more revealing outfits to kit bash. However, I'm showing the entire outfit because it's no worse than a bikini. I think it lends itself to the exotic tone of the poses. I also want to showcase vendors fairly and that means a variety of clothing.
I still do not want to have g strings, really large busts, or hineys featured- and only the invited guests contributors (whose judgments I trust) should post the more revealing outfits. For example, if a loincloth covers the front, that's fine- if it's a G string in back, skip that view please.
Obviously, I'd still like to balance these type of outfits with renders being more "family friendly, can go to church in this outfit."
This also allows for more of the fairie type outfits, and with Giselle hitting the scene, there's a lot of products for fairies being released. We should also get some of the sci-fi sexy showcased too so those vendors are represented. (Not expecting that from you Serene Night lol- love your style as it is- action packed figures dressed for action realistically.)
Also, it will help showcase items that may be on sale, and great for kit bashing. I don't always have time to do the kit-bashing, so many outfits have not been shown which had delightful pieces in the product. This way, you can see the entire outfit and pick and choose. I wasted about half an hour last night trying to get a top to layer with this, and decided the thread viewers wouldn't mind seeing the more sexy outfits done in good taste, so they can kit bash or use the entire outfit. You might also think of combinations which I hadn't.
So that said. On with Keshi.
I also wanted a bit more revealing because I definitely wanted you to see a particular concern I had. While doing my test renders of this character, I noticed something about the skin materials. Do you see the horizontal bars across her legs, right above the boots? They are lighter colored skin and don't look right. I turned her and it's not the lighting.
Keshi is for Stephanie 6 and shown on that figure.
Fangtastic was used on two of the teeth, very subtle. The teeth were darkened, otherwise they are WAY too bright IMO.
The headpiece is The Fabricator, Carved Ivory, with colors 60 / 95 / 127 to match the blue of the outfit. I love that the makeup also matches the clothing.
The bundle includes these items, and I used Keshi and Poses of the Orient.
FWSA Keshi
Jewels of the Orient
BWC - Poses of the Orient
Keshi is one of the PC+ stores and can be discounted with purchases from the summer promo.
EDIT: LOL, I just saw the pink flower in the hair, that should have been taken out. Oh well.
