LOL- looks who is coming to breakfast! Glad she got out of the way in time- that's one BIG croc! I like the way the TreadZ foot is coming up toward the viewer, adds nice depth. I haven't used the palace yet, good to see a render from there. I'll have to wishlist those birds, I keep seeing them pop up and they do add a nice dimension to the sky.
Very nice. Lots of action there. Given the location of the blood splatter coming from the croc's head, he might even survive the shot too to hunt another day since his brain is further back.
Thank you Novica :)
Yep you're right,

This is a fun plugin you might want to try out. You can make a render very toony- like I did here (Just used an old render I posted in an earlier thread) , or smooth the skin to make your image really pop. Ignis Serpentus posted a link to the trial here... Plus a coupon, if you are interested:
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/43654/P15
Am I missing something? I didn't see a conversation about the toony at all. Further in thread is a link but you have to give your email to some company, and I'm not doing that.
BTW, some great deals with the three PC+ stores being stacked with discounts if you buy one of the creature creator products. I also spent more than $18 and got an additional $6 off, so my prices were Walk With a Purpose $3.71, Mec4D Great Wizards $6.58, (textures were $3.20 and I got them for the beard morphs), Flight of Stairs $4.80. You can get that product SereneNight featured (one of the Ambush products) from FirstBastion with the stacking discounts.
Hmmm, okay, the first part of my post went poof. I said the toony looked really good and I like the colors- they don't overwhelm the scene but the toony feel is definitely there.
Creature Creator HD For Genesis 2 Male(s) (DAZ3D)
BWC The Man (Sedor)

If I recall, the PC coupon does work on DAZ new releases, so you can get $6 off if you haven't done so already. It is 30% off ($27.96) so that would $21.96) and then those three PC+ stores will also be discounted further (as I already mentioned)
Using BWC Skies number 3, with an added distant light from OUR front left and added spotlight from behind. Did not use a character, just
The first one is scales. EDIT: Shown on G2M base. The next one is on Michael 6, not the high definition one.
And here's Fur. I lowered the brightness of the UE2 and increased the distant light. Love the fur. You can pick different colors, this is the regular brown, not the dark brown. (Lights were left at a very pale blue.)
And the zombie default on Gen2 Male. All of these are the default, there is a thumbnail that says BUMP closeup but it was not applied. There is another one that says bump distance. Would be nice to have the ReadMe (Richard is looking into that.)
BTW, these render at a nice speed. My shading rate was .20 and all settings were excellent quality.
Be sure to click to enlarge all of these. :)
Tested to see how long it would take to render all three in the same scene, and to see if lights would work that I used for Zombie since the other two are darker. Did fine. The fur one is directly under the lights as it's the darkest one. Render time for all three in the scene was 23 minutes. Enjoy playing around with Creature Creator, it's fun. This was the HD version.
I added the bump and am re-rendering the three so we can see if there is a difference. Don't know if the bump was supposed to be put on first, but it's not going to be. I'm not reloading and re-doing all these right now. Will post here in about fifteen minutes or so, please check back. Then compare to the previous one.
Adding: the BUMP will be the one on the right. Cutting and pasting these together for you. CLICK TO ENLARGE SO YOU CAN COMPARE.
I like those renders. I'm not sure whether to pick this one up yet. Lots of cool men's stuff in the store right now, and the gen 2 female version works reasonably well on the men.
To answer your question, in the thread Ignis uses the plugin to create an effect in one of her promo pieces. It is quite cool actually. The only reason they need your email is to send a product key. Seems reasonable to me. But you can always create another email address to have your spammy email go to if you like. Anyway, the plugin is awesome and worth checking out.
Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure if that popup was even for the tool!
Very cool render, SereneNight, and thanks (to you and IgnisSerpentis) for sharing the info about the toon thing. It's not a DAZ Studio plugin though, right? Do you know if it requires Photoshop, or could someone use it with something like GIMP?
@Scott:
I know it works in Photoshop which is where I use it, but the initial software seems self contained. It has it's own program where you can apply the filters and view them on trial before buying each of the modules. With the code Ignis provided you get 10.00 off which is nice.
Ignis uses it on the image with the silvery demon girl on the cat, and makes it look real. At low dosages, you can use some of the filters to smooth the skin, and make the image look less like a render and more realistic.
At higher percentages (and the set contains a cartoon tool, a skin tool, and an edge and sharpening tool), you can create numerous effects.
I'll post some images in my thread shortly.
Sorry to jump in. I got the plug in too from the link in Iggy's thread, and they only thing they used my email for so far has been to send a product key for the trial. I'm using it as a plug in for Paintshop Pro, so I don't think you will have any issues using it for other graphics programs that can use Photoshop plug ins. You can always grab the trial and make sure it works for you.
I now return the thread to it's regularly scheduled programming.
cheers!
Try this link - says it will work with IrfanView but not (at least explicitly) with the GIMP.

ETA: I haven't got the plugin myself, I just found this link by following Ignis' post and looking around...

Before The Epic mistakes start... IrfanView dose not support layers natively. It is best as an Image viewer, not editor. As for resizing, contrasting batches of stuff, yes. And it is FREE. User of IrfanView since 1999-ish, it's far better then the default Windows 98 image viewer.
Good suggestion, I may try it, eventually. Thanks.

Heads up, there is a sneak peek of the new gen 2 male Lee in the member's only forum.
Jump in any time. :) I bought it, haven't used it yet though.

I've been using it non stop, but I haven't bought it yet, lol.
While we're mentioning toon-type stuff, be sure and check out DestinysGarden's thread. Fun stuff!! :) (And if I get stuck using Topaz Clean, I know who to bug for help! Wah-ha-ha!)

Um, I've tried this several times, trying to see how morphs affect the skin materials from the Creature Creator. I've changed the cranium a few times and still get that rumpled/shorter hair area on the forehead. It's not the lighting either. I don't like it.
This combines a lot of morphs- the cat eyes, bat/deer/a-bunch-of ears, etc.
That's probable a side effect of the "hair base" map (hair follicle placement map) being distorted to the shape it is in there. Like the folded clothing on the chest of some G2F figures. Tho I'm just guessing.
(edit)
It's stretched vertical.
I'm working on a few character ideas for SeaNautica and this is Thit. Lilly names him and it relates to what he does (which won't be named at the moment.) I've got to start working on SeaNautica but still experimenting with Silo (top priority.) Whereas on a normal person I would tone down the glowing blue and eye gleam on the rims, for Thit, I like it. Poor Gianni never looked so...well, different.
EDIT: Definitely click to enlarge and click again to see these details, definitely HD. It's a 2000 pixel render.
nice list but its missing the most important for me... where did you get that hair? I checked the store but couldnt find any.
OMG I think Thit looks fantastic! That is an awesome morph...maybe we will see some morph sets from you in the store one day????
