Joshua stopping the sun (work in progress)
ok guys here is the start of my next idea. feel free to give your suggestions or opinions at any time.
The enemy was being defeated all around but the sun was starting to set. Joshua would have to let the enemy go, only to have them come back and fight another day. Then suddenly something happened that had never happened before, or will never happen again. Joshua commanded the sun to stand still!
“Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.”
I am still building the character Joshua. here he is so far. Joshua was with moses in Egypt and they wondered for 40 years in the wilderness so Joshua had to be older. not feeble and week kind of older but, buff and tough older.
Here he is so far. many thing will most likely be changed but this is the direction i am going with him. he will being standing over an Amorite soldier on the ground.

I would love for anyone to follow along and give your insights to the scene. thanks for looking!
Welcome to the Art Studio sub-forum. My comments: it is nice to see people 3D creating art using any program that they feel comfortable with. I assume that you are going to add a background later. I like these old style military outfits too. Thanks for posting.
yes I plan on doing a whole scene. I love doing bible based themes and this one seems that is could be really fun to do.
here is a link to my gallery here at DAZ, to give you an idea of what I do.

The sword is wrong...it should be a wide bladed, shorter bronze sword (can be a sharp point), without a crossguard...or a khopesh (a curved Egyptian sword).
Some images here...

awesome! thanks for the heads up. I know I can't get everything accurate but I will try to fix what I can. I have a couple other swords I can try
here I am starting to pose the enemy Joshua is about to kill.
I wish you good work !
(i do think that the Bible, too, could be an interessant, epic source for 3D images.)
Best regard,
Lorelin
Thanks Lorelin!
I will keep uploading updates on the scene as I build it.
OK. Im still working on posing and placement of characters. here is the latest so far. I haven't decided on a camera angle yet. right now i want to make this look good from all angles.
So I was told that my poses were not kid friendly enough. I had to make some mods on the scene. here is where I am at for now. I got pulled to start another scene so i don't know when I will get back to this...I hope soon. anyway enjoy
here is the final that will be going to press. thanks for the looks and comments.

You are welcome, but for me your art is very good and very inspiring. I will try doing some too :)
