Hi, working on a graphic novel 90 pages long so far - Delicious and Desire. Its a bit of a send up of a baudy medieval themed story i wrote a couple of years ago.
Link is here. https://www.panotour.com.au/DD/
Thougths and comments on the story and graphics (all in DAZ Studio) please. It is a work in progress.
Thanks

The graphics and presentation that I could get to are compelling and captivating. Beautifully crafted and staged. You have a wonderful eye for composition, color harmonies, and action.
I had a problem with the site, though: Each page was very slow loading on my system. I'm under deadlines, and though I would have loved to see more, I had to kick out.
It's very impressive work. If you can find ways to optimize the site for faster loading, I think you will be able to attract a lot more well deserved attention and following.
Sure:
0) I did not review the whole thing but a few pages.
1) The writing, that I read, is good. The story as I did not complete the book I can't answer.
2) The scenes are good, that I saw are good.
3) The renders, that I saw, though are somewhat flat. I'd disguise that by postprocessing in Photoshop Elements or GIMP or your choice with 'Colored Pencil' or some other postprocessing filter in such a program, to make your renders look more arty and less like 3D renders with very flat lighting.
4) The size of the images are huge and it takes about 15 seconds to download to my computer each page. Maybe you can have the entire thing be encapsulted such that the use downloads the entire book at once & then they open the zip and read it locally? Or is there a way you can convert to PDF? I'm guessing you want to publish to Amazon once refined.
Let me start by saying, kudos to you for the amount of time and work you put into this. Making anything creative is hard work, and getting it close to finished product is an achievement. Making a story that can maintain people's interest is an accomplishment as well. As a baudy medieval tale this works fine.
I had no problem with the page loads, the written passages load in under a second, and the full screen art load in less than 3 seconds with my connection. So that will depend on system specs and ISP. One thing I would suggest is a larger font size on the narrative. There is generally space on the pages, so a bigger font would be easier to read for tired old eyes.
I didn't read the whole thing, but made it half way to where Dom is turned into a frog and they're dealing with the troll in the forest. So the story itself is exactly what it needs to be, a fantastical adventure yarn set against the medieval countryside. I will likely get back to it later, which means "I want to find out what happens next" Always a good indicator for storytelling.
It's fun to recognize all the Daz Assets incorporated into the story. What may be a small issue, is the inconsistency in the quality between the individual artwork panels. Some look fantastic, like the Red crow Inn fireside shots, and some images look flat, like the hound dog attack shot or the horse down on the docks. Take time to raise the lighting and visual quality of those renders, because there is a jarring constrast that gets noticed, and it should all be fluid and not perceived as a reader progresses. As suggested using some type of filter on the art that gives it a consistency could certainly help. TOPAZ studio Filters have soe excellent options to give the art a more artistic look. It's not a big issue, but since you're asking for suggestions.
Hi, thankyou all so much for your comments, I really appreciate the time all of you have taken to have a look and make your suggestions. I have taken them all onboard and will try to get a review done. I will repost when updated. Thanks again!!
OK, I'll read through the whole thing when you next say you are ready.
Oh, for the background on the text pages lighten the sepia substantially via color saturation decreasing so that the contrast between the background sepia image and text is much higher. You also have some " and special characters that got converted into HTML or some other protocol representation and not what you meant to be on the page.
