Yes. Glumgurgle. He still shows in my Product Library as part of the Ollie Pro Bundle. I got to keep him, and Jonathan was not added to my Product Library. I think once you've purchased something, it remains in your account regardless of the status in the store. (The same sort of thing happened with Mika 8. I have the "Fantastical Sprite Wings" but they were replaced with the Fairykini, which I believe includes a set of wings.)
D.E.M Kezia (G8f) Sabriel Outfit (G8F) Deck Hand Hair (G3M / G8M) NOTE FOR MALES
Yes, first things first, the Deck Hand Hair is GREAT for women. It auto fit like a glove and no tweaking.
Kezia has a lot of "dark" and varied makeups so take a look at the variety. I'm just showing the normal gal.
Click to enlarge, this one is big.
Kezia reminds me of other ethnicities, but not sure which. I thought Native American even though the cheek bones aren't too sculpted.
And I got a surprise when I zoomed in on a set I had never used/explored, to find it has quite a nice snack/storefront. Anyone want to guess which set this is?
I've added these two so you can click back and forth and see the differences when I dodged and burned. I didn't like the hair washing out and looking so gray, so I put back in dark. The metal arm bracer I actually drew back in detail, that's all hand-drawn. Click back and forth on the images, they open in a new window.
Tip: how to draw back in metal which is washed out with glare: put a light blue or light gray down on the white washed out area. Then use a dry, scratchy type brush and make swirls, using about 93 to 95% transparency. Make your brush really small, and add dark gray doodles, tapering off as you head toward the light area. Then add white dots, because the metal would be glinting.
I'll go ahead and put the answer here, too. (Comes later in the thread.)
Antigravity Diner
Yeah, I have both of those also. But not even seeing Jonathan for Ollie 8 in the store.
I wonder if they meant Jonah HD who wasn't part of the Pro set.
Yes, it is Jonah HD not Jonathan. Oops. (Shoulda checked the product page before posting… )
We definitely got a better deal with the glumgurgle then. :)
I haven't explored it yet but the vending machines might be a part of The Ant Farm's Sci-Fi Street Construction Set
My fault. Jonathan, Jonas, & Jonah as names I always get mixed up. It's Jonah HD for Ollie 8.
LOL
My thoughts, exactly!
Also very happy to have gotten Glumgurgle with Ollie. But did end up with the Fairykini. :/
Lol, well you got the right vendor! It's Antigravity Diner. Cool set!
Oh, I haven't gotten that one yet. Super nice products from that PA.
Well hello, a list of commands for Daz. I'd go nuts trying to remember any of them, but thought I'd share. I can't get my CRL+L to turn on the lights to view my scene, how do I fix that?
Useful list!
I have found Ctrl+L doesn't always change the apparent light in the scene. If it doesn't work for any of your scenes, it's possible the shortcut is assigned to something else. Can check what keys are assigned to what actions by using this script.
Are you looking through a camera, or perspective view? In my experience, preview lights works...differently through a camera than perspective. Also, headlamp on or off?
I've always had Headlamp to Never in the Render settings, it was my impression that didn't impact the CTRL L use, as I've done this for years with that setting and the lights came on with the CRL L. I haven't changed anything so that shouldn't be assigned to anything else.
OMG Rich, do I seem smart enough to know how to use that script LOL? I wouldn't even know where to PUT it, much less READ it.
Sure you are. I can teach you if you'd like.
I just want my light problem solved, the easiest way possible LOL
Seriously, Swimwear One doesn't even show the backside of the SWIMMING SUIT, which is really important. It's an instant NO BUY.
Anybody else think the Strictly Business Hair looks terrible in the promos? And what is it with all the weird pricing?
And it needs to be doing something interesting at the back, since from the front it looks very boring indeed - the sort of thing you can pick up as a freebie, not pay $16 for.
@Fishtales, the "weird pricing" is to support the $3.99 each price for three or more of today's new releases. And PC Members get an additional 30% off because they are all DOs. That makes each one about $2.80 each. That's weird pricing I can really appreciate!
I didn't see the sales just the pricing. Thank you.
I don't see anything wrong with the Strictly Business hair. True, it's combed, neat in counter to frequent DAZ 3D male hair styles, but that's how a lot of people's hair looks with that particular cut.
The whole thing is confusing. There are Camera Headlamp settings, Render Headlamp settings, and Lights, all interacting with each other. I simply always turn off the Camera Headlamp (unless I use it as a light itself), then I can always toggle preview lights on/off with Ctrl+L.
Yea, I usually skip products which do not show the backside. And the PAs do not know that they're losing sales because of that (and a lot of other things that they don't know customers are complaning about).
Yea, the quallity of the hairs in the store differ a lot, if I may put it that way.
I definitely agree. It doesn’t look realistic, but it also doesn’t look stylized enough to be interesting. It’s low detail, but not enough to look deliberate. An actual low-poly, stylized, toony hair in that style would be something I could actually get on board with. But that? Nah.

i wonder what Daz is up to?
