I'm wondering if anyone has any of the Elaineck figures or lights and could possibly post some renders from them?

    I would be most grateful!

    Thank you.

    @jewels99

I have four of ElaineCK's characters and have rendered three of them. Sisi the newest I haven't had a chance. But here are old renders I did of Xoxo, Ayane, and Nancy. I hope this is helpful.

I don't have any of their light sets.

    Hey Julie,

I don't categorize my files with the light sets noted so I can't really recall which ones have those lights. But I HIGHLY recommend them. If you have the Daz Deals plugin, the individual product page will have forum links. Some of the posts in my threads have them identified for you. :)

Bridget 8 with HD addon for G8F            Helix Bundle for G8F                   Sayrion Headband Hair for G8F & M

Default sun-sky lighting didn't think to change it and it came ok  so I was good with that. I was playing with putting a camera in the ss sun node which I did not know you could do!  To cool!

Bridget 8- I like her skin and her shape but in the first image she looks orange to me and honestly this girl is hard to get a decent smile out of.  The glasses came with her and they come with lots of options from different shapes to different colors for the frames and tints for the lenses.  They also have some morphs to help with positioning on the face, very nice!  In the second picture I used the Spectral Rendering enabled, faithful, cie1931 and it looks better to me, not so much orange.

Helix Bundle- Well its Aeon Soul so the name says it all! (at least for me)  Ive never really been disappointed with any of their work I just wish they would do some more contempary and/or fantasy type outfits. (Love E Seems that they have gone more towards SiFi.  Still great products though!!  And the options are wow!  I bought the bundle and there are so many different options you don't know where to start!!  There are even dirt and wet L.I.E options.  There are a few morphs to help with fitting, one that will add wrinkles and then some others to go with some of the outfit presets.  NOTE:  the zipper is not a morphing object but there are 3 settings for short medium long. It is an option for the outfit.

Sayrion Headband Hair-I was on the fence with this hair.  I liked it but wasn't just real sure about it so I waited awhile to pick it up.  Glad I went ahead and did I think its a cute style and does have some nice options to it.  Morphs included are a forward and back which don't really go very far but you can still get an alright look turning the limits off, then it also has a few movement morphs. It comes with 5 color options for the hair and 3 color options for the band.  Kinda limited in choices but if you own any of the hair products out there thats easily overcome.

@daventaki  Have you ever experimented with the White Point settings in Tone Mapping? If something is too orange, put a whitish orange in the color and it will bring out more blue and reduce the orange. It's easier than post work :)

I have a ton of those characters so I'll do a few that haven't been mentioned. I'll do Mee and Marie Loo, and use the lightsets on them too.

No I haven't but I will have to try that!

I have a gray card that I use with photography to help with AWB.  In DAZ those translate in whitepoint to be .20 .20 .20 . So, far these work great with 95% of my images. My base settings can then be tweaked depending on what kind of effect I'd like to experiment with. :-)

These might not work for everyone. And, they might all be wrong. But, hey I use them.

I'm doing that now so everyone can see how that works with the lightsets in question. :)  Taking awhile, as I'm also showcasing messing with the XYZ orientation and dome rotations. It's interesting. Edit- I looked it up and we're not spelling that vendor correctly. It's ElianeCK (not "Elaine" at the beginning.)

I also have this product https://www.daz3d.com/tonal-rage-tone-mapping-toolkit-for-iray by @DimensionTheory is a nice tool that I use on occasion, when I'm working on different images other than my base settings.

ElianeCK HDRI Lights for Iray        Mee HD (G8F)        dForce Amara Outfit (G8F)         Isidora Hair (G3F / G8F)

So this first one is light 7, default.

This second one is still Light 7, with the Tone Mapping pane White Point set to a light greenish blue to take out more blue. The color was 218  255  194
Normally I do postwork (light/dark, contrast, saturation, midtones, shadows) but these will be untouched.  These are 80% rendered. They do not enlarge.

This is still the same light, showing you what changing the White Point can do. This is a fairly vivid blue   169  255  238  You can see it makes it ruddy.

Next, let's change the White Point to a faint light blue   203  255  252   This is still Light 7.

So let's just keep that color and now we'll change the Render Settings in Environment. The rest of these will refer to the XYZ Dome Orientations, and the Dome Rotation will be the fourth number.

This is Light 3   (X Dome Orientation,  Y Dome Orientation, Z Dome Orientation, then Dome Rotation)  No White Point changes, it's default.
    20   60   20   40

    Still Light 3.  Now the Orientations / Rotation are 20   50   50   70

    Still Light 3.   30   60   60   60

Now switching to Light 9.  These are all with the White Point at default, and the Exposure Value 12.48 with ISO at 135. Both Burn Highlights and Crush Blacks are .28  This one is the default settings, I'll move XYZ and the dome on the renders following it.

Still Light 9    XYZ Dome Orientation and Dome Rotation:   40   48   39   295

    Still Light 9.   60   70   45   270

Here's Light 12 with Exposure Value 12.78, otherwise default settings for White Point, etc.

And Light 5, default. A front view of Mee.

I like the chosen settings. Creates a nice render.

It is fascinating how the light brings out the sculpting of the nose and the texture of the skin so differently on this character. I have seen this effect on clothing, but to see it on a face, that is incredible.

@Novica, thanks for the correction on the PA's name, I went up to my post and fixed it.

I added a new #1 as I hadn't shown the default for that light. You'll see it's really blue!

Going to bed (5:15am) as this took all night/morning so gotta go get some sleep. Hope all this helps show what you can do with any light set, by changing the White Point and rotating orientations and domes. I had this on Dome and Scene so I'm not sure what it would have done on just Scene, etc. I also did not mess with the Light A, B, C etc settings, as I didn't see all that until I scrolled through the thumbnails and I've done all I'm going to do. Will feature the other gal sometime later Saturday. Meanwhile, carry on :)

You lost me, which isn't hard to do. What exactly do you do with those?  (I'm still headed to bed but I'll look up your explanation later.) You're too talented!

@Novica and @memcneil70 Thank you so much for talking the time to render the figures and show the different features of the lights.  I chose the Elaineck Real light for Iray kit, although it was difficult to chose as I wanted them all.  I will have fun playing with them. Also, Mee is a cutie!  Thanks again.  If I produce anything share worthy I'll add it to the post, if that's ok?

Novica, I believe what Cismic means is he uses the grey card for white balance in photography so thus it translates to 0.20 0.20 0.20 in studio.  Thus this is the starting point for his settings in Studio.  He can correct me if I am wrong but thats what I got out of the post.

Very True @daventaki. It seems to work well with Iray stuff quite well.

Here is another image using the same settings.

I think they help with the colors a lot along with lighting placements and some additional adjustments.

OT- here is a great graphic where the states increases in cases are shown. Just mouse over the graphic and your state will eventually pop up. It will tell you the number of days that the cases are doubling for your state.  Florida's cases are doubling every 4 days.
