Somebody could it explain me why one must insert the feet of the character (or other) in the ground so that it is rendered at the good level ?

    Hi DUDU :)

The most likely reason is that your terrain "Preview" (preview quality) size, doesn't match the "Render" (Render quality) size.

The terrain uses "Displacement" at render time, to increase the resolution,.. which actually changes the physical shape of the terrain mesh, .. this can result in a height change to the surface.

Make sure both "preview" and "Render" scale,.. are the same.

    Hope it helps :)

This was pointed out to me before.... can you say again where to find these settings in the Terrain view window??? Or elsewhere, I was having trouble locating them.

Thanks...it was probably the drugs. I have the exact same problem with my herd of caribou!
