Hi everybody! This is my first render using The Girl 6 and rendering with Uber Environment 2 using the IDL with directional shadows light setting. Hope you like it...I think it turned out pretty good :) Oh yeah...I just figured out how to make a plane for her to sit on too! LOL!

Good for you ...it is a very nice render....Trish
Thank you!! :cheese:
That's how it happens, you get a few of these excellent renders and suddenly you're hooked on this whole 3D thing for life. Well done!
Wow... that is a very cool render... lighting, pose, interesting dress... good job putting it all together
excellent though the shadows are a little grainy, could be your main render settings or UE2 not high enough. I have found you need high quality settings when using IDL.
@FirstBastion Thank you and yep...I've been hooked for awhile now, LOL :-)
@MrPoser Thank you so much!
@Szark I have my UE2 set on high resolution, unfortunately, I'm rendering with an old XP and until I can afford a new computer I have to put up with having to set my pixel samples real low otherwise my stupid program crashes :shut: which really, really sucks, lol. Can't wait to get a new one!
Fair enough and believe me I know what that is like. Have you tried AOA Ambient Light instead of UE2. Renders much faster then UE2. So for that pic you posted the AOA Ambient Light is perfect. I just rendered a big image recently that was going to take over 24 hours to render using UE2, I got it down to 6 hours with AOA Ambient and one AOA Distant light with pretty much the same result.
Fabulous render, good job :-) I'll be enjoying UE2 next week, once my new system is complete. UE2 has a tendency to render at turtle crawl speeds, on my dual core,. Yeah, I know the feeling of stupid program crashes, which really does sux, your not alone friend.
@Szark Thank you for the suggestions! Are you talking about the Advanced Daz Studio Light bundle?
@awesomefb Thank you! It's nice to know I'm not the only one with those problems! lol :)
Yes, Szark is referring to the Age of Armour product(s) that make up that bundle - it contains the ambient, spotlight and distant light products. I can only concur with him about what a good product they are just 'as-is' and out of the box :)
Love the expression on her face and the overall look. Very nicely done! :)
yep Simon is spot on, thanks dude for that.
@Novica Thank you!
@SimonJM Yes, thank you for the info! :D

Very nice render!
Have to chime in here to second the recommendation for the lighting bundle by Age of Armor. I just picked it up myself during the sale this month and while I have not figured out all of the advanced settings yet, its a great product and truly does work beautifully "right out of the box".
Nice first render. Welcome to the Daz forums and Daz! Its fun here!
Very nice render!
I'm another new user, and I was wondering how you made that white plane? My biggest problem so far has been the lighting and shadow casting. I just don't get it, and for the most part, I'd just like to have a white studio backdrop that the character is posed on.
Hi Khoyan!
Don't feel bad...I've been using Daz for several years and just figured out how to do a ground plane! Go to CREATE on the tool bar, then NEW PRIMITIVE, then on the type will be PLANE. Hit enter. The plane will look black, but when you render it...it will be white. Make sure your background is also set to white.
Hope that helps a little bit! :)
Nicely done! The lighting really brings the image to life!
