Genesis Smart Prop Problem

I have created some smart prop .duf files for various Genesis figures (D5,M5,S5,V5) which work well in DAZ Studio 4.6, and I have managed to create the equivalents as .pp2 files to work in Poser. I am also attempting to create the requisite files for DAZ Legacy set-ups.

But there is a problem when attempting to load the .pp2 smart props for the Genesis figures from within DAZ Studio. It seems that Poser and DAZ Studio read the relative dimensions for Genesis based figures differently. So that the David 5 prop will load correctly in Poser (because that is where I set it up), but incorrectly in DAZ Studio. There is, incidentally, no problem with the base Genesis figure, or with M4, V4, G2F and G2M, only with the other Genesis figures.

You can see the problem clearly by parenting any small object to Genesis's right hand, positioning the object at the Origin on the ground, and then as you reshape Genesis to, say, David 5, you can see the object (and its origin) move before your very eyes. :coolsmirk:

One solution would be to set up a pose preset .dsa file which would correct the positioning of the prop in DAZ Studio - which leads me to my real question. I have already prepared material preset .dsa files, so how easy would it be to combine the Pose presets and the Material presets in one .dsa file? Or am I missing an obvious trick?

DS applies scaling to parented props, Poser doesn't. So if the figure or the part parented to is scaled the prop will be scaled in DS, making it incorrect if it was set up to work unscaled in Poser.

Yes, I've noticed how objects miraculously increase in size as they're passed from Stephanie to Heroic Michael.
