Fitting shoes for Genesis 2 Females to Genesis 2 Males

I'm having trouble with something I thought would be straight forward. I'm trying to fit Heeled footwear for a Genesis 2 Female onto a Genesis 2 Male figure (don't... don't ask). I thought it would be as easy as doing an auto-fit to Genesis 2 Female to Footwear. In the preview it looks like its going to wrap around the foot just fine, when when I complete the Auto Fit the bottom of the shoe is beat away from the bottom of the figures good. Leg and heel fit fine, but the toes don't seem to line up at all. Specifically these boots (http://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/18184/), though I've been having trouble with other footwear as well.

Is there a way to make this work? Or is there a compatibility problem?
