I can answer a few questions.

Hexagon, Bryce and, DazStudio are free right now as part of a special offer. I don't know why Carrara wasn't offered.

    Hexagon is for modelling.
Carrara is a multipurpose software. You can model, animate, pose, etc with Carrara. You can also import Daz/Poser content into Carrara.

Check here to see the differences in Carrara Standard and Pro...

    Best of luck!

Carrara is the Flagship program from Daz. It is the full package, it is never free for the full NEW program.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your answers. ;)

I will download the trial version of Carrara... I hope it's a little bit more "friendly" than Hexagon...

The standard version seems to be ok for me.

    Have a good day.

First impression ; Carrara effectively "seems" to be more "user friendly" than Hexagon... The version i downloaded is in French. version 8.1.

Moved to New Users help, since it seems to be more of a discussion then an introduction.
